Land In Prison Or Join The Resistance: A Life Of Hardship For The Youth Of Occupied Kashmir

(Editor’s note: Once again we are joined by our brother Saif Ali Budgami for a hard-hitting piece on the struggles of the youth in occupied Kashmir–struggles that not only fail to make the airwaves of the mainstream/corporate media controlled by Global Zionism, but also a large chunk of the alternative press which has failed Kashmiris at best and partaken in silencing them at worst. Our fam Saif’s essential point is that so long as the Hindutvadi regime in New Delhi denies the Kashmiri people their freedom and their independence, the resistance will simply grow stronger and continue. Beyond agreeing with him wholeheartedly, we stand in full Striking Star Solidarity. Azadi for the Vale and Azadi only. Minor corrections made for accuracy. ~ Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah)

The life of young people in Kashmir from childhood to adulthood nowadays centers around prison. The young people on this journey are meeting with probation officers, instead of teachers; they are going to court dates instead of class; they are emerging from their 20s not with degrees in business and science, but with criminal records.

In Kashmir, peaceful protestors are considered as ‘communal’ or ‘anti-national’ and are picked up by paramilitary forces on the streets, beaten and maimed. Moreover, these same paramilitary forces break into houses, shatter windowpanes, harass men and molest women without accountability from the state; it’s never taken into consideration that security means to protect civilians, not to beat or harass them.

State violence is not new. In 2008-09-10 more than 120 young people were killed after the controversial Amarnath land row, and more than 110 were killed after Burhan Wani’s martyrdom in July 2016, when marchers were fired upon by the Indian occupation army, leading to the deaths and injuries of many. Since then, this cycle of violence has been unstoppable.

Hindutvadi India’s Terrorism And Ultra-Nationalist Violence Are Forcing Kashmiris To Take Up Arms

(Editor’s note: A heartrending piece by our Kashmiri brother Saif Ali Budgami, who is appearing here on Mouqawamah Music again after his brilliant essay ‘When Kashmir Was Sold By The Oppressors For A Paltry Gain’ was among the week’s most viewed articles. Here, Saif documents the rise of Hindutvadi abuses against Kashmiris inside and outside the Vale and answers the question routinely asked about why Kashmiris take up arms with a simple yet even more poignant question, “How would you feel if it was you?” Powerful work which will pave the way for true understanding of Kashmiri rage and allow us to increase our Striking Star Solidarity with the people of the Valley to higher, more efficient levels. Salaam dear readers. Don’t get frustrated. Be sure that this is actually all about Kashmir and the injustices that are all done in Kashmir. Let’s go together to see what’s happening inside Paradise Kashmir. You may not believe it, but you definitely should. Because the horrors we experience are all true. And yes! It has been happening for decades.

The journey starts as crimes against Kashmiri people outside Kashmir are rising day by day. People, who had left their homes to adjust to a so-called peaceful environment, either to make their careers or to uplift their lifestyle and earn their daily livelihood. The students who went for studies have been mercilessly thrashed and driven out of their homes, colleges and universities. The property of businessmen has been looted, destroyed and vandalized and they too have been kicked out of their homes. Nowhere, but in the world’s so-called largest democracy.

When Kashmir Was Sold By The Oppressors For A Paltry Gain

(Editor’s note: As we did two weeks ago with our brother Mohammad Umms Rafiq’s piece about Yemen through the eyes of a Kashmiri, we once again are sharing a piece from our fam in occupied Kashmir–an insightful look into a history rarely discussed but one that is as important as ANYTHING you will read on a matter that should be near and dear to all in the Ummah… As Kashmir is as precious to us any other oppressed land and then some. Almost a decade ago, Mouqawamah Music’s sister site Mask of Zion published an essay dealing with the Rothschild-financed British regime’s sale of Kashmir to the Dogra oppressors in 1846 (among other issues, including the Indian-‘Israeli’ relationship). Akhi Saif Ali Budgami goes even further and delves even deeper into this dark, UK-instigated oppression. We’re delighted and honored that he shared this with us and even more delighted and honored to publish it. Minor edits were made for accuracy. Death to the colonialist British regime. Death to Hindutvadi Indian terrorism. Long live the steadfast Kashmiri people. ~ Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah)

How Did Kashmir Become Jammu & Kashmir?

How should I start? How can I say? Whom should I say? Is anybody listening? Yes! You need to listen at least once in a lifetime. People call it by many names. Tourists call it “Paradise On Earth”; environmentalists call it “The Switzerland of India”; historians named it “Peer Vaer (The Valley of Saints)”; and many more. Though all these names suit and depict the Valley structurally and intellectually, most of its residents love to call it and depict it practically. Yes! We call it “Mazloom Kashmir (Oppressed Kashmir)”!

From 1846 to 1947, the Dogra dynasty ruled Kashmir. During this period, two main treaties took place (Treaty of Lahore and Treaty of Amritsar). These are really necessary to understand the background of the Kashmiri cause. It was 16th, March 1846, a day of complete relaxation for the British and a luxurious day for the Dogra rulers. But it is still among the darkest days and an ugly scar on the face of human race. When the British defeated Sikhs and annexed Punjab, the British sold the whole of Kashmir to Maharaja Gulab Singh of Jammu for only 75 lakhs ‘NanakShahi’ under a treaty called “The Treaty of Amritsar”. Through the Treaty of Amritsar, between the British Empire, which had stolen the Kashmiri Valley, Ladakh and Gilgit Baltistan from the earlier Sikh rule, and Gulab Singh, a Dogra from Jammu who subsequently initiated the Dogra dynasty which ruled Jammu and Kashmir as a princely state of British India for the next century until 1947.

A Kashmiri Perspective: Can You Hear Me? I Am Yemen!

(Editor’s note: One of the original goals of Mouqawamah Music was to open up a space for Resistance-minded writers from all over the world, especially where Empire Zionica is dishing out the worst forms of oppression, so they can speak unfiltered and further unite the peoples and struggles challenging hegemony. This sad yet beautiful piece by Kashmiri activist and commentator Mohammad Umms Rafiq, who is also an MBBS student studying in the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, encapsulates this idea entirely. May the Kashmiri people achieve Azadi from their Indian terrorist occupiers and may the ever-resilient people of Yemen see salaam in their homeland in 2019, after four years of Zio-carnage. Small edits were made for accuracy. We say Striking Star Salute to brother Mohammad for sharing his perspective with us. ~ Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah)

by Mohammad Umms Rafiq

Children’s Day is celebrated every year on the birthday anniversary of first Indian Prime Minister and leader of Indian Freedom movement, because of his love and special attachment with children.

I am not going to criticize anyone here, but I will just try to highlight those things which have left everyone especially children in isolation, bloodshed, inhumanity, hatred, fear and depression.

For the sake of power, children are being used, their future is being sacrificed for worldly gains by insane people with tyrannical hearts.

Revenge is another terminology used by these heartless, cruel people which they impose on innocent hearts from early childhood in the modern era.

Children are dependent on the care, love, empathy and attention of adults who love them but their attachments are frequently disrupted in times of war, due to loss of parents and use of brutal force on their families by oppressors. Emotional unavailability of distracted or depressed parents leaves these innocent souls in complete despair and hopelessness. Most of the children are “unaccompanied children” in this war game because of the loss of adults (meant for the protection and care of children). As a result, we can see “refugee-like situations” in every warzone and battlefield.

Global Solidarity Freed African-American Shi’a Muslim Revolutionary Journalist Marzieh Hashemi

by Jonathan Azaziah

Allahu Akbar! Marzieh Hashemi is free!

After 11 days in a US ZOG dungeon, including the last several in solitary confinement, the African-American Shi’a Muslim revolutionary journalist and Press TV anchor has been released from FBI custody. Using FARA and an Orwellian “material witness” legal precedent, Zionists inside the American regime as well as outside in their think tank networks, sought to impose their will on the Nawlins Nebula who was known as Melanie Franklin before she accepted Islam. Needless to say… And once more we shout “Allahu Akbar!” loudly and proudly… What the Zionists attempted to do failed. Despite their Islamophobic abuse of Marzieh and insidious ability to largely keep her suffering out of the public eye, never once did the Khomeiniist firebrand think about adopting any other stance than the Husseini-Zaynabi position against oppression that has endured for nearly 14 centuries.

Modi and Hindutva Want To Repeal Article 35A And Start Ethnic-Communal Cleansing In Occupied Kashmir

by Jonathan Azaziah

Modi the Murderer has really done it this time. He’s on a mission to get Article 35A of the Indian Constitution – which empowers Kashmir to define who is and isn’t a permanent resident and also provides special rights and privileges to those permanent residents – repealed. Of all his crimes, aggressions and acts of corruption, this very well might be the very worst of them as what will come next if the revocation goes through is a truly and immensely horrifying thought. Since the Babri Masjid was demolished by VHP, BJP and RSS fanatics with RAW and Mossad assistance on December 6th, 1992, Hindutva-pushing extremists across the Indian state have been gaining more and more influence. The kar sevaks of Hindutva have long sought to establish Hindu settlements on the banks of the Indus River and push Muslims and other non-Hindus out wherever they find them. The Hindu supremacists within the Indian Army have two strategic doctrines – Cold Start and Kurukshetra – centered around implementing ethnic-communal cleansing in Kashmir. All of Kashmir. Not just that which is Indian-occupied but Azad Kashmir in Pakistan too. And with Modi the Mongrel at the helm now, this Hindutvadi “activism” has peaked as it has taken the highest office in the land. Ramadan Reflections: Why Is The Islamic “Establishment” Silent On Occupied Kashmir’s Plight?

by Jonathan Azaziah

Consider this a Ramadan reflection. There are currently some 750,000+ Indian occupation forces in Kashmir and these “soldiers” routinely dish out wanton violence against the Kashmiri people. A shutdown is being observed in the Vale as we speak after New Delhi’s goons savagely murdered at least 11 Kashmiri youth, most unarmed and some armed, including Kashmiri Resistance leader Sabzar Ahmed Butt, yesterday to mark the first day of Islam’s Holiest Month–a sign of just how vile and hateful these Hindutvadi occupiers are. But how many persons in “The Ummah” are speaking about occupied Kashmir and its plight? How many “moujahideen” are flocking to the Valley for “Jihad”? If “The Ummah” were an olive grove, the equivalent here would be about an olive pit of it gives a damn about Kashmir. And this is what is so baffling. There is an ACTUAL polytheist regime governing India and this goes along with ACTUAL murderous oppression being dished out against ACTUAL Muslims but again, where have the “Islamic” establishment and its head-chopping “heroes” been on the matter? IN LALALAND, THAT’S WHERE. And the reasons why are simple. Continue reading Ramadan Reflections: Why Is The Islamic “Establishment” Silent On Occupied Kashmir’s Plight?

Kashmiris Wave Hizbullah’s Banner And Reject The Mossad-RAW Attempts To Divide Them On Sectarian Lines

by Jonathan Azaziah

Here we go! Let it rock Kashmiris! In response to RAW’s agents burning pictures of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Bashar al-Assad and Hassan Rouhani last Friday, Kashmiris in Srinagar gathered in massive numbers–some brothers say hundreds, others say thousands–on Sunday to counteract the hatred, sectarianism and division represented by these degenerates in the pay of Hindutva and Zionism. The defiant demonstrators waved Hizbullah’s flags, held up Ayatollah Nimr al-Nimr’s (R.A.) pictures and chanted against all forms of sedition. Shi’a, Sunnis, Sufis and even a few Sikhs were present as booming cries of “Death to India!”, “Death to ‘Israel’!” and “Death to Al-Saud!” rang throughout the Kashmiri capital’s streets. Just in case it needed to be said, and for some, clearly it does – THIS IS THE TRUE FACE OF THE KASHMIRI AZADI (FREEDOM) STRUGGLE. Unity and Resistance. And this isn’t a mere slogan either. It’s not even a way of life. It just is. That’s how Kashmiris are and this is what Kashmiris do. Being split on ethnic or sectarian lines is NOT in their nature and it is NOT going to happen; Kashmiris aren’t going to be bullied, nor will they be browbeaten into accepting something alien to their culture, history and identity. RAW’s Paid Agents Burn Nasrallah, Assad and Rouhani Photos To Sow Sectarian Discord In Occupied Kashmir

by Jonathan Azaziah

What happened in occupied Kashmir this past Jummah was absolutely disgusting. A small gaggle of young men–some brothers on the ground say 10, others say 12–got together right outside of Jamia Mosque in Srinagar and decided to defile and burn photos of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (holding a Holy Qur’an, no less), Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani and Syrian President Dr. Bashar al-Assad. They chanted ant-Shi’a, anti-Alawi slogans and curiously enough, also held up “Save Aleppo” banners in spite of the fact that Aleppo has already been “saved”, i.e. liberated from Al-Qaeda, by the Syrian Arab Army and its allies. Most tellingly, these sectarian degenerates masquerading as representatives of the Azadi struggle also wore masks. Meanwhile, ACTUAL Azadi activists described the individuals in question as drug addicts seeking narcotics and accepted payment from Indian occupation forces to engage in such vileness because they simply needed a fix. This could possibly be one element but going deeper into the dirt, what’s at work here is something far more iniquitous. True Solidarity: As Syrians Celebrate The Aleppo Victory, Occupied Kashmir Celebrates With Them

by Jonathan Azaziah

Occupied Kashmir’s people are simply wonderful. As Syrians from Aleppo have been celebrating for the last several days to mark the end of the Zio-Imperialists’ Takfiri proxies criminally ruling over their city, Kashmiris have been celebrating with them, filling up the streets of Srinagar to hail this triumph. Led by the Vale’s Shi’a but joined by Sunnis and Sufis as well, an ode to Syria’s own ancient pluralism, the Kashmiri demonstrators saluted the Syrian Arab Army, praised Dr. Bashar al-Assad and chanted that the liberation of Aleppo is a “victory for humanity” and a “victory for Islam”. Heroes and heroines of the Valley showed a special love towards the Lebanese Islamic Resistance of Hizbullah, with men wrapping their heads in the red “Ya Hussein (A.S.)!” bandanas traditionally worn by the Mouqawamah’s Mighty Moujahideen on Ashoura and women donning the Party’s classic yellow banner. That the Kashmiris would hit the streets for Aleppo’s victory in total rejection of the barbaric Indian occupation all around them is just extraordinary. It’s hard to say what’s more beautiful: Their solidarity or their defiance. Continue reading True Solidarity: As Syrians Celebrate The Aleppo Victory, Occupied Kashmir Celebrates With Them
