Y’all better have your calendars marked! “Eternally Husseini” is just 10 days away! And since today is the 69th anniversary of the Nakba, yours truly and Intifada Street’s Mohammad Hamza, who did both of these absolutely remarkable pieces, decided to release something special for the occasion: Archbishop Atallah Hanna and martyred Islamic Jihad founder Fathi Shaqaqi (R.A.)
Some may object to us displaying a Christian figure, even one as revolutionary as the Archbishop, with the Zulfiqar Mic-Sword but we wholeheartedly reject such objections and criticisms. The Zulfiqar Mic-Sword represents a person who speaks the truth no matter what–just like Imam Hussein (A.S.)–and who fights for truth no matter what–just like Imam Hussein (A.S.) And there are very few in the Arab-Islamic world who do either of those things quite like Atallah Hanna. This is a man who has spoken up in defense of Islam while many of his fellow clergymen cowered; who has exposed the Zionist plot to foment Muslim-Christian division when many other “Arabs” and “Muslims” and “Christians” signed on to the scheme; who has stood upright for the Syrian Arab Republic when too many “Palestinians” and other “Arabs” betrayed their brothers and aided the destabilization plot; and who has not stopped fighting for the Palestinian Right of Return when large chunks of the “Palestinian leadership” have sold out to the Zionist occupation. Lest we forget that it was a Lebanese Christian, George Jordac, who wrote the best biography on Imam Ali (A.S.), “The Voice of Human Justice”. And lest we also forget that Christians flock to Karbala every year for Arba’een. Indeed, Imam Hussein (A.S.) and Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) are not merely personalities to be venerated solely by Shi’a nor just by Muslims but all of humanity. While I do not mention Archbishop Atallah Hanna by name on “Eternally Husseini”–he’s featured on another album of mine, “Enemy of the Entity”, in the closing track “Beautiful Corpse”–everything that he stands for is everything that the record embodies. The courageous pro-Syria Palestinians inside the Syrian Arab Republic as well as occupied Palestine itself have been all but excommunicated from mainstream “Palestine Solidarity Movement” discourse. And truth be told, it is the apogee of sickening.
While Ali Abunimah and Rania Khalek hideously act like they just witnessed a miracle and damn near cry tears of joy about Zionist Jew Bernie Sanders acknowledging Palestinians are human beings, as if this kibbutznik who defended the slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza and Zionist Al-Saud’s butchery of Yemenis will somehow bring forth an earth-shattering change in American policy vis-a-vis Palestine–and as if our Palestinian brothers needed Zionist Jew Bernie Sanders’ comments as a solidification that they do indeed possess humanity–there are REAL Palestinian heroes fighting and dying on Syria’s battlefields as they wage a REAL struggle against Zionism and its Takfiri tools. And they absolutely have support inside their Sahyouni-occupied homeland. Continue reading Meet The Pro-Syria Palestinians That Electronic “Intifada” Will Never Tell You About

The only Palestinian Orthodox Christian bishop in the Holy Land speaking about the suffering of Palestinian Christians, their unity with Muslims in the Palestinian struggle, about Orthodox Christian martyrs, and Ukraine.
Archbishop Sebastia Theodosios (Atallah Hanna), 49, is the only Orthodox Christian archbishop from Palestine stationed in Jerusalem and the Holy Land, while all other bishops of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem are Greeks. The Israeli authorities had detained him several times, or stopped him at the border, and taken away his passport. Among all Jerusalem clergymen he is the only one who has no privilege of passing through the VIP gate in the airport – because of his nationality. “For the Israeli authorities, I am not a bishop, but rather a Palestinian,” explains his Beatitude. When talking on the phone he says a lot of words you would normally hear from a Muslim: “Alhamdulillah, Insha’Allah, Masha’Allah”. He speaks Arabic, and the Arabic for ‘god’ is Allah, whether you are a Christian or a Muslim. Continue reading Archbishop Atallah Hanna: We Palestinian Christians say Allahu Akbar
JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — Atallah Hanna, the archbishop of the Sebastian Greek Orthodox Church, criticized the latest cover of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in a statement Saturday.
“We support freedom of expression and democracy, but encroaching upon religious icons is far from being viewed as freedom of expression,” Hanna said, referring to the magazine’s depiction of the Prophet Muhammad on its cover following attacks on the office by Takfiri terrorists. Sofia, SANA – Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia Atallah Hanna condemned the recent Israeli aggression against Syria two days ago, considering that what Israel has done and the takfiri terrorists’ acts fall within the same scope of taking revenge on Syria because of its principled stances in support of the Palestinian cause.
Archbishop Hanna visited the Syrian Embassy in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, and expressed condolences to the families of Syria’s martyrs.
Hanna stressed that all Israeli and colonialist plans to destroy Syria’s national unity and coexistence in order to fragment the Arab societies and spread sectarian strife have been foiled thanks to the wise leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
