Takfiris who have since joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group claimed the 2013 murders of two secular politicians that plunged Tunisia into crisis, warning of more killings just days before a presidential runoff election.

A senior militant recently detained by the Lebanese army was involved in the assassination of Minister Mohammed Shatah, the transfer of suicide bombers who killed dozens of people, in addition to several other terror offenses, media reports said on Thursday.
“Mahmoud Ahmed Abu Abbas was arrested in (the Bekaa town of) Majdal Anjar before being immediately transferred to the defense ministry building,” al-Mayadeen television reported.
It said he was involved in the 2013 assassination of Minister Mohammed Shatah in a central Beirut car bombing.
Military sources informed on the investigations told al-Mayadeen that “the car used in Shatah’s assassination came from the Ain el-Hilweh camp,” noting that Abdullah Azzam Brigades leader “Majed al-Majed was arrested four days after the assassination.”

“The influx of the terrorists into Iraq was a plot by the country’s enemies to fight the Iraqi people’s demand and will on one hand, and provide security for the Zionist regime on the other,” Shamkhani said in a meeting with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri in Tehran on Wednesday.
The 230 bodies were found by relatives of the victim’s who were all from the Sunni Sheitaat tribe, said the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday.
The latest discovery brings the total of Sheitaat tribe members killed by Takfiri terrorists during their summer assault on Deir ez-Zor to 900.

Aleppo, SANA – The army and armed forces made new advances in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, and further expanded its control on more strategic points.
Aided by the popular defense groups, units of the army and armed forces established full control over al-Malah farms and the areas in the south and west of Handarat in the countryside.
SANA reporter quoted a military source, who was reached to talk about the new military success, as saying that a huge number of terrorists were eliminated in the course of the operations in the aforementioned areas.
