Houthi Leader: We Will Never Bow To Saudi Arabia; Aqsa Must Be Defended

The leader of Yemen’s Shia Houthi Ansarullah movement says Persian Gulf Arab states, specifically Saudi Arabia, are inciting militancy and supporting the al-Qaeda terrorist group in his country.

Addressing a delegation of Yemeni tribes on Tuesday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said Yemen will never bow to the domination of Saudi Arabia and other member states of the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council.

Hamas: We Seek to Enhance Historic Relations with Iran

Mohammed Nasr, political bureau member of Hamas and head of its delegation on a Tehran visit, said that his Movement’s visit to Iran fell in line with its belief in the importance of mobilizing all Islamic potentials in support of the Palestine cause.

He told the PIC that Hamas was keen on enhancing its historic relations with Iran based on both parties’ conviction of the importance of maintaining contacts and exerting serious efforts to overcome the sensitive and delicate circumstances currently prevailing in the region.

The Palestinian left straddled between Fatah’s ‘paradise’ and Hamas’ ‘fire’

The Palestinian left is hostage to the bipolar political division in Palestine. The left has been unable to become a sizeable force compared to other factions, or develop an independent identity in the political equation post-Oslo.

We shed light on the reality of the left in Palestine in light of the dominance of Fatah and Hamas over the political landscape, and the fact that their policy choices of negotiations and resistance respectively, have reached an impasse or a state of uncertainty coupled with limited options.

Gaza – The new generation in the Arab region almost knows no other players in Palestine other than Fatah and Hamas, the two constantly sparring factions, while the name of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad comes to the fore from time to time during Israeli wars and retaliations. Beyond these three names, there is almost no voice for the Palestinian left-wing factions, though they had initiated resistance against Israeli occupation, long before the Islamists. Sheikh Na’im Qassem: Hizbullah will keep backing Palestinian Resistance

Hezbollah’s deputy secretary general says the Lebanese resistance movement will continue its support for Palestinian groups resisting against the Israeli regime, Press TV reports. 

“We support all forms of resistance that the Palestinians used. This is their legitimate right to confront their enemy. Hezbollah is based on resisting occupation, this is our main goal,” Sheikh Naim Qassem told an international conference held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad: Palestinian Cause Most Affected by Ongoing Events

Syria President Bashar al-Assad received members of the general secretariat of the Union of Palestinian Communities in Europe who wrapped up a recent conference in Damascus, SANA reported.

The secretariat’s chairman Dr. Radi al-Shoaibi led the delegation.

President al-Assad stressed during the meeting that the secretariat choosing Damascus to hold the conference in despite circumstances in Syria and the region carries significant implications, especially the Palestinians’ appreciation for Syria’s key role in championing the Palestinian cause.
