Iran calls for immediate lifting of all sanctions as part of nuclear deal

Iran wants all Western sanctions to be lifted as part of a deal on its contested nuclear program by a November deadline, a top official said Wednesday.

The announcement came amid intensifying efforts to conclude a definitive pact. The six powers in the talks with Iran – Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States plus Germany, known as the P5+1 – have set November 24 as the deadline, after failing to meet the previous July 20 target.

Building on a UN Security Council sanctions resolution passed in 2010, the United States and EU in 2012 imposed major sanctions against Iranian oil and gas companies and strengthened restrictions on the country’s central bank.

The chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the US proposal of a gradual lifting of sanctions was “unacceptable.” Continue reading Iran calls for immediate lifting of all sanctions as part of nuclear deal

Gaza: How the Resistance manufactures its rockets with help from Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah

by Qassem Qassem, Youssef Fares and Abdel Rahman Nassar, Al-Akhbar English

Necessity is the mother of invention. The Resistance has recently demonstrated its biggest achievements yet in the fight with Israel. Indeed, it is not an exaggeration to say that Gaza, and behind it Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah, had anticipated the day when the borders and the sea surrounding Gaza would be sealed off. Today, Egypt and Israel are stepping up their coordination to make the sea off limits to the resistance, while in the south, their armies are working to establish a buffer zone and even a water trench, in the hope of putting an end to the smuggling of rockets from the Iranian desert to the Mediterranean. The Sorosazzi Do Protest Too Much: Disentangling the case of Reyhaneh Jabbari in Iran from its Western memeocracy

by N Wahid Azal, Center For Syncretic Studies

502377f the Italian term paparazzi (first coined by Federico Fellini in his film La Dolce Vita)[1] has gained a certain notoriety of meaning in our times, it is perhaps time to coin a similar neologism that accurately reflects the partiality and double-standards of those elite Western (corporate controlled) faux-left, liberal mainstream discourses on human rights. 46v113524031These are those mainstream and mass media discourses advanced by the Anglo-European Transatlantic West deliberately designed with specific intent, thus opportunistically crafted, to misrepresent, misinform or otherwise disinform regarding occurrences of certain cause celebres (particularly when they happen to be publicized legal cases) happening among rival societies, governments or polities which these Transatlantic elites happen not to like at any given time, such as, for example, the Islamic Republic of Iran. Is Jon Stewart’s Rosewater really based on a true story?

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The facts contained in this story are devastating. Not only does Hamid Reza Emadi thrash the entire “Rosewater” narrative with a mere truthful telling of the events at hand, he also casts a bright light on the murkiness of Jon Stewart’s intentions. Because Stewart has done a sketch here and there criticizing the usurping Zionist entity’s POLICIES, not its criminal, illegitimate existence, but its POLICIES, many among our ranks have looked to this person as some sort of a hero. “Rosewater”, a film based on lie after lie, proves unequivocally that he is not. Stewart’s concern, despite his outer shell which may appear to be something to the contrary, is World Jewry and its geopolitical aims. “Rosewater” isn’t just Zionist propaganda and Iranophobia at their most depraved, it’s also Jewish tribalism in its most classic form. ~ Jonathan Azaziah) Continue reading Is Jon Stewart’s Rosewater really based on a true story?
