Saleh al-Sammad (R.A.) of Ansarullah: The Hassani-Husseini Revolutionary Leader Who Fought To Bring Peace In Yemen

by Jonathan Azaziah

Saleh Ali al-Sammad (R.A.) was a special human being. Known as Abou Fadhl, this was a man who saw beauty amidst emaciated bodies and crying mothers–for the strength of Yemen’s people was too beautiful to deny. A revolutionary who saw hope amidst ruinous chaos rarely seen in human history outside of the two Zionist-driven World Wars–for how can one not hope when a besieged and starving people refuse to abandon their right to resist and triumph over usurpers and aggressors? And a leader of leaders who was completely disconnected from the concepts of surrender and defeat. While Ansarullah’s moujahideen fought (and fight) with Husseini fervor to defend their homeland from the Yazids and Shimrs of the Saudi-led coalition of cowards, al-Sammad was the voice of Hassani reason keeping the very fabric of Yemen together: Quelling tribal disputes, bridging political divides, building alliances to strengthen the resistance against the US-‘Israeli’-orchestrated invasion and never stopping the fight to end the criminal war and bring peace to all of Yemen. It was due to all of these qualities that a joint US-‘Israeli’-Saudi assassination squad, utilizing the General Atomics MQ-9A Reaper–created by the Iraqi-Jewish terrorist and founder of drone warfare, Abraham Karem–murdered al-Sammad on this day 6 months ago. The 1305th Martyrdom Anniversary Of Imam Zayn al-Abideen (A.S.): Time To Remember Him As A Pioneer of Resistance

by Jonathan Azaziah

We mourn today. But we also reflect and give thanks for the immortal gift we’ve been given in Ahlul Bayt (A.S.), specifically the 4th Imam, Ali Ibn Hussein (A.S.), aka Zayn al-Abideen, aka Imam Sajjad, who was martyred on this day 1,305 years ago. The Umayyad tyrant of the time, Al-Walid ibn Abdul Malik (L.A.), a man who hated the Household of Rasoulallah (S.A.W.W.) more than his father Abdul Malik ibn Marwan (L.A.) and maybe even more than Yazid (L.A.), couldn’t bear to live in a world with the Imam (A.S.) breathing the same air that he breathed, declaring, “I cannot rest as long as Ali ibn Hussein is in this world!” So he ordered Uthman ibn Hayyan al-Murri (L.A.), the ruthless Governor of Medina, to have the son of Sayyed al-Shouhada (A.S.) poisoned. But we prefer not to dwell on the tragical end of Imam Sajjad’s (A.S.) life, as he, like his father, knew that martyrdom was his fate and he embraced it with a clear heart.

So instead, we’d rather focus on Imam Zayn al-Abideen’s (A.S.) Mouqawamah, his words which were as akin to precious gemstones as those of Muhammad al-Moustafa (S.A.W.W.) and Imam Ali (A.S.) themselves, and his prayers, which were of such astonishing exquisiteness and brightness that the songs of Angels (A.S.) could be composed from them and stars could be eclipsed by them. Indeed, what Al-Sajjad (A.S.) taught us is that words… Matter. Words… Can topple tyranny. Words… Can remake the machinery of history in mid-production for the Moustakbireen and send it in a completely different direction on behalf of the Moustazafeen. The Humbleness Of Iran’s Defenders: Major General Sayyari Kisses The Hands Of Ahvaz Hero Moujtaba Muhammadi

by Jonathan Azaziah

This is why Iran is victorious; why we call the Islamic Republic our Magnetic North; and why Imam Khamenei is who we’d follow into the hell-flames if it meant justice for the Moustazafeen would be secured. Pictured here is Major General Habibollah Sayyari, the Coordinating Deputy of the Artesh (Iranian Armed Forces) who also holds the rank of Rear Admiral and formerly commanded both the Iranian Navy and the Iranian Marine Corps, going on live TV to kiss the hands of Moujtaba Muhammadi, the Artesh soldier who saved numerous lives during the US-‘Israeli’-Saudi-Emirati terrorist attack in Ahvaz that murdered and wounded dozens of innocents.

Muhammadi rushed many children and women to safety while also stopping the bleeding of several IRGC commandos who were shot by the ASMLA and ADPF mercenaries. A hero in every sense. That one of the highest ranking military men in the whole of the Iranian security establishment, not to mention a moujahid of the highest order who was instrumental in preventing the fall of the Islamic Revolution during the Imposed War, bows his head and engages in such a gesture towards a soldier of regular rank that diffidently viewed his dauntless actions as merely doing his job in a crisis, is a display of the synergy between the brass and the rank-and-file; the brotherhood that bonds them; and the commitment to Islam that all of Iran’s guardians have, regardless of titles or medals. Happy Birthday To Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (A.S.), The Will Of The Ummah!

by Jonathan Azaziah

Happy, happy birthday to Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (A.S.), the Will of the Ummah, the second Imam of we Shi’a and one of the two Chiefs of the Youth of Paradise beloved by all Muslims. Too often we neglect the contributions of Imam Hassan (A.S.) to Shi’a thought and Islamic Liberation Theology more generally. Even though he had every right, both Qur’anically and politically, to fight the despotic usurper Muawiyah for his treachery, his oppression, his disconnection from our Deen and unspeakable crimes against the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (S.A.W.W.) sanctified Household (A.S.), he decided to put forth a Peace Treaty instead and spare Muslims anymore bloodshed and destabilization. He exercised Strategic Patience or better still, what Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei calls Heroic Flexibility, i.e. making decisions in the face of all odds to resist tyranny but nevertheless still seeking resolutions without reaching for one’s (proverbial) sword. Indeed, in the most difficult of circumstances, it is Heroic Flexibility/Strategic Patience that requires an even deeper Mouqawamah Consciousness and an even more ironclad steadfastness. Truly, there is nobody in the history of Islam after the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W.) himself that has more resolve, courage and patience than Imam Hassan (A.S.) Lest we forget that Imam Hussein (A.S.) followed his brother’s lead in the latter’s attempts to facilitate salaam. And lest we also forget that Imam Hassan (A.S.) still died the dignified and dauntless death of a hero like his father before him and his brother after him, achieving martyrdom after being poisoned by the accursed tyrant Muawiyah.
