Saudi Arabia’s Coasts: Backyard of Israeli Fighter Jets, Submarines

TEHRAN (FNA)- Israeli submarines and fighter jets are readily observed in the coasts of Saudi Arabia, especially after the start of military strikes against Yemen, foreign diplomats said.

Diplomats were quoted as saying by al-Manar news website on Saturday that Israel and Saudi Arabia inked a secret agreement decades ago which keep the Saudi coasts open to Israeli fighter jets and submarines.

According to the report, the Israeli fighter jets, specially its surveillance and spy aircraft, which are equipped with early warning systems, haven’t left the Saudi coasts since the start of Riyadh-led airstrikes against Yemen a month ago.

Palestinian shot dead after stabbing Israeli soldier in Al-Khalil

Al-Khalil (Ma’an) — A Palestinian man was shot dead after stabbing an Israeli soldier at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

The mosque’s director Munther Abu al-Failat told Ma’an he had been told by witnesses that the soldier was stabbed about three times before he shot back at the Palestinian. Early reports in Israeli and Palestinian media named the Palestinian as Assad al-Salayma, although local sources told Ma’an the man, believed to be in his 20s, had not yet been identified. by Rori Donaghy, The Middle East Eye

Details about a covert security relationship between Israel and the United Arab Emirates have emerged, revealing a high-level partnership that has seen an Israeli-owned company become responsible for protecting the critical infrastructure of Abu Dhabi.

Emirati authorities, according to well-placed MEE sources who work closely with the companies involved, have contracted an Israeli-owned security firm to secure oil and gas installations in the UAE as well as to set up a globally unique civil surveillance network in Abu Dhabi that means “every person is monitored from the moment they leave their doorstep to the moment they return to it,” according to the source. Review of Gilad Atzmon and the Orient House Ensemble’s “The Whistle Blower”

by Trevor LaBonte, The Ugly Truth

Musician/author Gilad Atzmon and The Orient House Ensemble have returned with their eighth album to date, a delightful offering entitled “The Whistle Blower.”

ATZMON’S BACKGROUND:

Atzmon is a former Israeli, former Jew, who underwent a spiritual awakening as a result of hearing the great bebop masters. He was taught his whole life as an Israeli Jew that Jewish artists and thinkers are superior to all else, but he knew he had been lied to, by virtue of the fact that Charlie Parker and many other great jazz artists were black and not Jewish.

Atzmon cut all ties with the Jewish state over twenty years ago, expatriated to London and completed a Master’s degree in Philosophy there. His solidarity to the Palestinian cause is evidenced by his choice to name his band after the Palestine Liberation Organizations former headquarters in Jerusalem, called, “Orient House.”

His criticisms of his own former Jewish ideological collective are brutally honest and hard-hitting. Let it suffice to say that his mission to liberate the discourse has led him far, far from the world of “political correctness,” yet he somehow balances all this with a successful career in jazz.
