RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — Figures released by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics on Monday suggest that Palestinians will outnumber Israeli Jews in historic Palestine within the next two years.
The results of the Palestinian census, released on the occasion of the end of 2014, show a number of other surprising figures that highlight the wide-ranging changes in demography the Holy Land is experiencing.
The census estimated that at the end of 2014 the total number of Palestinians in “historical Palestine” — meaning the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the territory where the State of Israel is located but which often referred to as ’48 Palestine — is around 6.08 million, compared to 6.10 million Jews as of the beginning of 2014. BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Israeli forces opened fire at a Palestinian vehicle in the town of Beit Ummar north of Al-Khalil on Monday just before midnight, injuring two teenage Palestinian boys.
Spokesman for the Beit Ummar Local Committee against Israel’s Separation Sall and the Settlements told Ma’an that the two were shot by Israeli soldiers stationed at the main entrance to Beit Ummar.
He identified the teenagers as Muhammad Ibrahim Sabri Awad, 17, and Ayish Khalid Sabri Awad, 19. Continue reading Jewish occupiers shoot, injure 2 Palestinian teens driving in Beit Ummar
GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — Hamas security forces in the Gaza Strip on Sunday prevented 37 children of Palestinians killed in Israel’s latest offensive from entering Israel for a visit coordinated by an Israeli group.
Sources on the Palestinian side of the Erez crossing, where the children were supposed to cross into Israel from, said that the children had obtained permits from Israel to leave the besieged coastal enclave for a week to visit Israel and the West Bank for one week.
When the children arrived at the crossing on Sunday morning, however, Hamas-affiliated security services ordered them to go back home. Continue reading Hamas prevents Gaza children from going on ‘normalizing’ Israel tour
GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — Palestinians around the world on Saturday commemorated the sixth anniversary of the beginning of Israel’s 22-day offensive on the Gaza Strip in 2008-9 that left more than 1,400 dead.
This year’s commemorations take place in the shadow of another Israeli offensive over summer — the third major assault in six years — that left nearly 2,200 Palestinians dead and 110,000 homeless.
Until this year, the 2008-9 assault was the bloodiest sustained Israeli assault on Palestinians since 1967, with more than 80 percent of victims thought to have been civilians. Continue reading Palestine marks 6th anniversary of 2008-9 Israeli assault on Gaza
Saudi Arabia and Western governments have for decades remained silent on the occupation of Saudi islands by Israel, Press TV reports.
Many wonder where these islands are and why Saudi Arabia never tries to regain its sovereignty over them. Continue reading Saudis remain tight-lipped on Zionist-occupied islands
Israel will export natural gas to Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, a top US official told Bloomberg, claiming political obstacles preventing the export deals will be overcome.
“We have a remarkable situation where the self-interest of each of the parties is remarkably similar in the energy sphere,” Bloomberg quoted Amos Hochstein as saying. Hochstein, the US State Department’s special envoy for international energy affairs in the region, gave an interview at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel Aviv University. Overtly, the Israeli superpower of the Middle East has been keen to posture as having no role whatsoever in the four-year old devastating conflict in Syria, where all major regional and international powers are politically and militarily deeply involved and settling scores by Syrian blood.
In his geopolitical weekly analysis, entitled “The Islamic State Reshapes the Middle East”, on November 25 Stratfor’s George Friedman raised eyebrows when he reviewed the effects which the terrorist group had on all regional powers, but seemed unaware of the existence of the Israeli regional superpower.
It was an instructive omission that says a lot about the no more discreet role Israel is playing to maintain what the Israeli commentator Amos Harel described as the “stable instability” in Syria and the region, from the Israeli perspective of course. (EDITOR’S NOTE: Contrary to the “America controls the genocidal Zionist entity and tells it to do whatever America wants” line pushed to the point of nausea by many “leftists”, the illegitimate “Israeli” regime has its own interests, its own agenda and its own quest for world domination. And long before the Americans, Brits, French and other “former” colonial powers were scrambling to adjust their imperialist practices from direct military warfare to neo-colonialism, the usurping Jewish entity had already long mastered the tactic, setting up shabbos goy proxies in strategic parts of the world to represent the investments of World Zionism. Singapore is the personification of this truth and the premier subject for any case study on the matter. The Singaporean military machine and technological-industrial-complex are literally the children of IOF and Mossad, with the Singaporean and Zionist defense industries being deeply intertwined, and considering that Singapore is a Zionist colony in a literal sea of Muslims, most notably Indonesia once led by revolutionary giant Sukarno and Malaysia once led by brilliant revolutionary mind Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the fact that the putrefying “Tel Aviv” regime has managed to carve out a niche and give itself access to infinite resources is all the more frightening. Five decades before the Obama regime — controlled by Organized Jewish Interests ironically enough — began “pivoting to Asia” and a Russian-Chinese partnership was sparked to counteract this imperialist power play, “Israel” was already at it. As Sheikh Imran Hosein frequently points out, the ages of Pax Britannica and Pax Americana are dead, gone and over with… We are now living in a world under the control of International Jewry, in the the age of Pax Judaica, and the Zionist-Singaporean connection is critical to understanding just how deep that control goes and just how dangerous that control is. ~ Jonathan Azaziah) Continue reading The Illegitimate Zionist Entity and Singapore: A deep, dark, secret love affair
