Happy Divine Victory Day to my beautiful, brave, brilliant, blistering and blazing Lebanese brethren, the most triumphant people in the entire Islamicate! And more sincere wishes on this blessed occasion to all of the Moustazafeen (oppressed ones) worldwide. Because truly, Hizbullah’s thrashing of the usurping Zionist entity over 34 days in the 2006 July War was a victory for all peoples of all types and all stripes. There were battles that were legendary (Wadi al-Hujeir and Bint Jbeil). There were martyred heroes who were larger than life–so large in fact that their spirits still and will forever tower over the world’s mightiest trees and buildings combined and multiplied (Khaled “Prince of the Battlefield” Bazzi [R.A.] and Ali “Bilal” Saleh [R.A.] to name a couple). And there was a leader whose razor blade wit, booming truthful promises and unforgettable smile shook the enemy in biblical fashion and changed the course of history (Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah).
On the 12th anniversary of this monumental moment, in which Hizbullah saved the world from the neocons’ dystopian “New Middle East” project I find it imperative to remember and celebrate the Men of God who made the Divine Victory possible… Only to find themselves martyred in a new phase of battle just 7 years later against the illegitimate ‘Israeli’ regime’s Takfiri Goy Golem in Syria and Iraq. And not merely a new phase of battle but a new phase of victory with it. Verily, their triumph in protection of their homeland in the summer of 2006 enabled and strengthened them in ways that they weren’t even aware of themselves until the time came that Malak al-Mawt (A.S.) called them to join the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W.), Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) and all the Shouhada (R.A.) To call them legends would be understating it so vastly that it borders on insulting. So we’ll just let their Nour-filled faces, angel-like auras and stories of dauntlessness do the talking instead. April 14th, 2014 is a day that should be celebrated by anyone and everyone in the world who considers himself or herself a follower and student of Jesus Christ (A.S.) Because it was on this day 3 years ago that the Syrian Arab Army, flanked by moujahideen from the Lebanese Islamic Resistance of Hizbullah on every side, liberated ancient Maaloula, the oldest continuously inhabited Christian town in the world and one of the only places left on the face of the planet where Christ’s (A.S.) native tongue of Aramaic is still spoken. It was Hizbullah in fact which spearheaded the operation under the direction of martyred Commanders and founding members of the Mouqawamah Sayyed Zulfiqar Hajj Moustafa Badreddine and Hajj Ali “Alaa Bosnia” Fayyad. The liberators of Lebanon sacrificed several fighters in the battle and after Al-Qaeda was humiliated and driven from this picturesque, archaic town in the strategic Qalamoun Mountains, they stayed behind and helped Maaloula’s residents rebuild their homes and churches. This is why those who travel through Maaloula today find Hizbullah’s yellow banner draped alongside crosses, portraits of Maryam (A.S.) and the Syrian Arab Republic’s flag. Muslim-Christian unity and Co-Resistance in its most gorgeous form. Look who’s in Fallujah! Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force Commander Major General Qassem Suleimani! A.K.A. “The Living Martyr”! A.K.A. “The Shadow Man”! A.K.A. “The Takfiri Annihilator”! A.K.A. “I Eat ‘Israelis’ For Breakfast”! A.K.A. “He Who Gives Not A Damn ‘Bout Zio-Imperialism”! To the left you’ll see Badr Organization chief Hadi Ameri, and to the right you’ll find my main man Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi, the Secretary-General of Harakat al-Nujaba, decked out in military fatigues! Suleimani is in Al-Anbar’s most restive region to finalize and subsequently lead the offensive to dislodge ISIS. The Quds Force leader spearheaded the first Iraqi victory over MossadDaesh in Jaref al-Sakher (‘Rocky Cliff’, which Iraqis now call Jaref al-Nasr, ‘Victory Cliff’), the liberation of Diyala Province, including the battle for the strategic city of Khanaqin, the freeing of Salah ad-Din Province, including the protection of Imam Hassan al-Askari’s (A.S.) shrine and various triumphs in and around Baghdad alongside martyred Hizbullah Commander Ali “Hajj Alaa Bosnia” Fayyad. Suleimani, typical of him, has also been an absolute genius in Syria, masterminding the whirlwind offensives in the southern Aleppo countryside, Latakia and elsewhere. Not that I doubted my brethren for a second–quite to the contrary actually–but knowing that Major General Suleimani is there among the Popular Mobilization Units provides a special kind of reassurance. With him by our side and guiding us like the cosmic force he is, the Iraqi Resistance will prevail over the Anglo-Zionist Empire’s Takfiri tools FOR SURE. Write it in the notebooks ladies and gentlemen, ‘cause it’s coming!
