Merry Orthodox Christmas To Mother Russia, Vladimir Putin And The Heroic Russian Armed Forces

by Jonathan Azaziah

A merry, merry, MERRY Orthodox Christmas to Mother Russia, President Vladimir Putin and the warm, generous and pure-hearted Russian people. Amid this new blitz of Russophobia unleashed on the planet by the Zionist media and Western regimes, it’s vital not to get swept up in the torrential propaganda rains and lose sight of just how much Russia has given to humanity via its steadfast counter-hegemonic position on Syria. The Russian Federation exercised its full international power at the UN, vetoing resolution after resolution that even APPEARED to pose a threat to the Syrian Arab Republic. Moscow has pumped tens of billions of dollars into the Syrian economy –rivaled in this department only by the Islamic Republic of Iran–in the form of direct funds, weapons to fight terrorism, petrol, food and other necessities as a means of counteracting the cruel, criminal US-EU sanctions. In Iraq’s Wartorn, Poverty-Stricken Najaf, An Iraqi Santa Claus Brings Joy To Children On Christmas

by Jonathan Azaziah

War, poverty and unhappiness have been staples of the Iraqi experience for the last five decades give or take. And in the holy city of Najaf, over the last thirteen years since the Anglo-Zionist invasion, these three dark forces (war, poverty and unhappiness) have been especially prevalent. What the US regime did to Najaf in August 2004, with heavy bombers, helicopter gunships, tanks and other armored vehicles, was unspeakable. Nearly the entirety of the Old City was reduced to ruins. Tens of thousands of Iraqis were murdered and wounded. Infrastructures, including running water and electricity, completely collapsed. These atrocities have led to a meteoric rise in PTSD in all of Najaf’s residents, children particularly. Now throw in the corrupt regime in Baghdad which has done NOTHING to alleviate any of the socio-economic woes and what you have is a situation immersed in misery truly beyond human comprehension. But despite all of this, Najaf and its people still find a way to live. Enter a man by the name of Moustafa al-Sudani. Bashar and Asma al-Assad Visit Saidnaya Monastery For Christmas, Reaffirming Their Status As Protectors Of Syria’s Pluralism

by Jonathan Azaziah

Gotta love Bashar and Asma al-Assad. The Syrian Arab Republic’s President and First Lady, as well as their daughter Zein and two sons Karim and Hafez, spent Christmas Day at Our Lady of Saidnaya Monastery in the ancient Aramaic-speaking town of Saidnaya, which rests on the slopes of the rugged Qalamoun Mountains that were liberated from Takfiri terrorist occupation by Hizbullah and the Syrian Arab Army last Spring. The Assads visited with the nuns and orphans of the Monastery and spent the day eating, laughing, snapping photos, unwrapping gifts and just generally enjoying the holy occasion. “God bless you!” is what Bashar and Asma were hit with when they first entered the Monastery, and as they made their way down into the courtyard where they were adorably mobbed by loving children, they were also told by the nuns, “Now we are truly feeling the holiday spirit!” ‘Twas one of those moments in which you realize that these individuals, Dr. Assad and First Lady Asma, truly are FOR the people, OF the people and BY the people. This is the kind of popular support that cannot be bought, nor staged, nor forced. One simply has it or one does not. Clearly the Assads ABSOLUTELY have it. A Merry Mouqawamist Christmas To Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Occupied Palestine And Anti-Zionists Worldwide!

by Jonathan Azaziah

A Merry Mouqawamist Christmas to all! Sitting atop the list for Christmas greetings is definitely the Syrian Arab Republic, which is seeing celebrations of Jesus Christ’s (A.S.) birth in its second city Aleppo for the first time in almost five years. If it wasn’t for the Syrian Arab Army, Hizbullah and their allies, Halab would still be stuck suffering under Zio-Imperialist-backed Al-Qaeda goons for only ALLAH (SWT) knows how long. Blessings to the Christians of Lebanon, who celebrate Christmas today because Hizbullah saved their nation from the Takfiris’ designs with its decisive intervention on the Syrian front. Of course, special holiday wishes for the homeland, beautiful, electric, ancient Mesopotamia, especially to the Assyrian Christians in and around Mosul who are celebrating ‘Isa al-Masih’s (A.S.) born-day for the first time in over two years. And it’s all thanks to the Iraqi Islamic Resistance. Prayers are needed for the Christians of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who are celebrating under the full protection of the Islamic Revolution, with moujahideen from the Basij and the Revolutionary Guard Corps watching over Christmas processions across the country, particularly in Tehran. You won’t see ANYTHING of the sort in that backwards, hateful, British-birthed monstrosity known as Saudi Arabia. From Liberated Al-Qosh: Iraq’s Largest Cross Lights Up The Ninewa Skyline For Christmas

by Jonathan Azaziah

Christmas in the Cradle Of Civilization really is the best Christmas. Here in the liberated Assyrian Christian (Chaldean, specifically) town of Al-Qosh, the biggest cross in all of Iraq is decked out in lights and brightening the entire Ninewa Province skyline. It’s nestled in the mountainside right next to the Rabban Hormizd Monastery, a carved-out holy structure nearly 1,400 years old. Aramaic, the language of Messiah Jesus (A.S.), is still spoken in this ancient place, making it one of only a handful of areas left on Earth that holds such a distinction. The Zionist-CIA-Saudi-formed Takfiri terrorist group of ISIS occupied this land for over two years going back to June of 2014, ruling over it with intolerance and violence but were driven out last November by the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU; Hashd al-Shaabi). Daesh left a trail of ruin behind, destroying a plethora of religious and ethnic heritage from a millennia ago, including cathedrals that have stood since the early 700s. The people of Al-Qosh are too resilient to be broken however and they have already started rebuilding. The illuminated cross is just the beginning. Merry Christmas & Happy Mawlid Al-Nabawi: Sayyed Nasrallah Hails Aleppo Victory, Shreds Aleppo #FakeNews

by Jonathan Azaziah

Thank God Almighty for Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Since Aleppo’s liberation, the information sphere in our region has broken down into fragments because the despots who own the vast majority of it–Saudi Arabia and Qatar–are totally flipping out over the colossal defeat that has been inflicted on their Wahhabi heads. Lunatic editorials in The Middle East Eye hysterically warn of an Iranian takeover of our entire region. Al-Jazeera English and Arabic are churning out so much atrocity hasbara and outright support for Nusra and Daesh head-choppers that one can’t even keep up. Al-Arabiya has gone so mental that it’s just barely stopping short of blaming Assad, Putin and Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei for killing JFK along with staging 9/11. And the so-called “activists” who remain blindly and idiotically loyal to the nonexistent “Syrian revolution” are marching through Western capitals and barking about a “holocaust”. Amid this chaos, as always, Hizbullah’s Secretary-General stands alone as the face, the voice, the essence and the light of truth. Counter-Hegemony Stands Tall In Aleppo: Giant Putin, Assad and Nasrallah Portraits Adorn Tonight’s Victory Celebrations

by Jonathan Azaziah

This. Hell yes. This right here… THIS is what I’m talking about. Tonight in liberated Aleppo, hundreds of thousands of Syrians from every ethno-religious background were in the streets to celebrate freedom ringing in their ancient city for the first time in nearly half a decade. No Ahrar al-Sham, no Jabhat al-Nusra, no Daesh, no Jaysh al-“Islam”, no FSA, no Noureddine Al-Zinki, no Takfiri filth whatsoever! Song and dance, smiling and laughter, Christmas decorations and Islamic calligraphy for the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (S.A.W.W.) birthday, Syrian Arab Republic flags and Hizbullah banners, Russian flags and Iranian flags, and LIFE, wonderful, harmonious, big, bright LIFE in Halab have all returned. And to literally top off the gorgeous and joyous occasion in the Azaziyah area of the city, right across from a massive Christmas Tree, are three enormous portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Syrian President Dr. Bashar al-Assad and Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the men most responsible for this triumph. As courageous RT journo Lizzie Phelan reported, these giant-size pictures were not paid for by the Syrian government, nor Moscow, nor the Lebanese Islamic Resistance. They were put up by a local shop keeper to pay homage to the leaders who gave him his life, his business, his city and his home back. Amazing. Iran’s Christians celebrate Christmas

by Maysam Bizar, Al-Monitor

As Christians around the world celebrate Christmas, the holiday season is also observed in Iran, a predominantly Muslim nation where Christians make up less than 1% of the country’s approximate population of 77.5 million.

Christmas trees decorated with red, green and gold gift boxes placed behind shop windows or at the entrances of different shopping malls and hotels can be seen, especially in the Christian neighborhoods of Tehran.

Decorated trees, along with Nativity scenes of the Virgin Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, can also be seen in shops along Mirza Shirazi Avenue and Ostaad Nejatollahi (Villa Avenue) and its surrounding neighborhoods in central Tehran, where many Iranian Christians reside. Muslims join Christians for Christmas celebrations in Gaza

by Asmaa al-Ghoul, Al-Monitor

Happily jumping around, Ilaa, 3, drops a couple of Christmas ornaments on the floor of Hadayana gift shop in Gaza’s al-Wahda neighborhood. Finally, she chooses the silver ornaments. Her mother, Bissan al-Qishawi, laughs at her daughter’s clumsiness as she helps her pick up the balls and Santa’s chocolates that scattered on the floor.

“We have a Christmas tree that I bought years back. We are buying new ornaments. All I wish for is to raise my daughter to be loving and tolerant. This is why we are celebrating the occasion with Christians,” Qishawi, a Muslim, told Al-Monitor on Christmas eve. Continue reading Muslims join Christians for Christmas celebrations in Gaza
