Yemen’s Houthi rebels seized weapons from U.S. Marines as well as several vehicles used by Americans stationed at the now-closed U.S. Embassy in Sana’a.
It wasn’t immediately clear what types of weapons and vehicles were seized.
An unidentified Sana’a airport official confirmed that the rebel forces took control of the U.S. Embassy vehicles, which were parked at the airport, United Press International reported. The same official also said that the Houthi rebels seized several weapons used by U.S. Marines who were trying to abide by a White House order and leave the country. The Houthis’ first step toward governing Yemen seems like a necessary option imposed on Ansarullah due to the failure of Yemeni parties, following days of intensive talks, to reach a solution to the political crisis and fill the power vacuum created by the resignation of the president and his government under external pressure.
After months of gaining ground throughout Yemen’s provinces, Ansarullah (the Houthis) has translated its progress into clear political gains. The Houthis have now taken control of the government, yet without assuming power themselves, and will oversee a two-year transitional phase through a “constitutional declaration.” The declaration was made in a large ceremony at the Yemeni presidential palace. A report published by Agence France Presse news agency pointed out that the leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, reminds of Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, “in terms of the way of expression or the content of the speech delivered.
“Speeches made by Sayyed Houthi focus on the fight against corruption and demanding national partnership and hostility to the West and Israel,” the report illustrated. Continue reading Sayyed Abdul Malik Al-Houthi Is Reminiscent of a young Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
(EDITOR’S NOTE: The following statement from the IRGC’s lieutenant commander, while obviously lacking in detail, is still extraordinarily stunning and seems to confirm Mouqawamah Music’s analysis from October, “The Long Arm of the Resistance: From Yemen to Saudi and Back Again”, which theorized, using strong evidence, that Hizbullah and the IRGC are aiding the Houthis — aka Ansarullah — in Yemen against the US-“Israeli”-Saudi-backed regime in Sanaa. Brigadier General Salami’s words shouldn’t be seen as braggadocio but rather as a warning to the Judaic Power Configuration and its regional lackeys that despite their best efforts to subjugate, undermine and stifle mouqawamah, the Resistance Axis is not to be messed with as it has only prospered, increased steadfastness and added additional members. Inspiring doesn’t really seem to cut it… With the new year upon us, and a year of great victories but great sadness and terrible losses finally behind us, a much more appropriate word would be hopeful. Iran, Hizbullah, Syria and the Houthis are like a life-raft of hope and light in a pessimistic world drowning in darkness; may 2015 bring us more hope, exponentially, and may the “chain of resistance” spoken of by the IRGC second-in-command stretch out across the globe until World Zionism is choked into breathlessness. ~ Jonathan Azaziah)

The leader of Yemen’s Shia Houthi Ansarullah movement says Persian Gulf Arab states, specifically Saudi Arabia, are inciting militancy and supporting the al-Qaeda terrorist group in his country.
Addressing a delegation of Yemeni tribes on Tuesday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said Yemen will never bow to the domination of Saudi Arabia and other member states of the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council.
He also called upon Arab leaders to close ranks against Israeli violations at the al-Aqsa Mosque and voice their support for the Palestinian cause. Continue reading Houthi Leader: We Will Never Bow To Saudi Arabia; Aqsa Must Be Defended
Yemeni Houthi movement’s Ansarullah fighters have entered an eastern suburb of the southern city of Taiz as they continue fighting al-Qaeda-linked militants in the country’s south.
According to local Yemeni officials on Friday, a 16-vehicle convoy of the fighters entered the area and deployed near the local airport and radio station. However, they have not entered the city yet.
The Ansarullah movement accuses authorities in city of not arresting more than a dozen extremist militants in the area.
“The local authorities have not honored their commitment to arrest 14 extremists in Taiz province,” AFP quoted a source close to Ansarullah.
The local officials also said that the fighters were preparing to march toward Yemen’s port city of Aden that overlooks the Gulf of Aden. Continue reading Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters enter suburb of Taiz as they march towards Aden

When a tyrant puts his sword to the oppressed…
Will you watch and cower, your courage proper soured and your nerves got devoured at the thought of a man being tortured in duress…
Or will you raise your voice and tell him to stop it at once…
You make peace with your Creator because you made your choice and yelled at the top of your lungs…
That you won’t be silent as injustice unfolds…
And you tell the rest of the crowd, don’t be quiet, we can stomach the blows…
We can deal with the cuts, we can cope with the bruises…
But we cannot live with our dignity broken, snapped like necks choking in nooses… Continue reading On Which Side Shall You Stand When The Skies Rain Blood? (Ya Hussein Is…)
