Mukhtar al-Thaqafi (R.A.): The Spring of Righteous Vengeance Who Brought Honor To Imam Hussein (A.S.) And Crushed His Killers

by Jonathan Azaziah

My uncle Ishaq-Hussein Azaziah (R.A.) told me many a time before ‘Israel’ gunned him down in cold blood that there are two Kufas: The one which betrayed Imam Hussein (A.S.) to the tyrannical terrorist Yazid (L.A.) in 61 A.H. and the one which avenged Imam Hussein (A.S.) in grandiose revolutionary fashion in 66-67 A.H. The latter was led by the hero of heroes and the blade of blades, Mukhtar al-Thaqafi (R.A.) And the reflection period between Ashoura and Arbaeen wouldn’t be complete without the remembrance of his unbridled and glorious rebellion, which not only saw an uprising against despotism in the name of the one, true, Muhammadi-Husseini Islam but also the pursuit of the psychopathic perpetrators of the massacre on Ashoura.

Imam Ali (A.S.), in Saying 324 of Nahjul Balagha, wrote, “Throw a stone in return from where one comes to you because [there are times that] evil can only be met with evil.” Mukhtar al-Thaqafi (R.A.) took this to heart and pursued the manglers and stranglers of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) to the proverbial ends of the earth. The Commander of Commanders appointed Ibrahim al-Ashtar (R.A.), the son of Imam Ali’s (A.S.) right hand Malik al-Ashtar (R.A.), as his own vicegerent. A most fitting selection. Saleh al-Sammad (R.A.) of Ansarullah: The Hassani-Husseini Revolutionary Leader Who Fought To Bring Peace In Yemen

by Jonathan Azaziah

Saleh Ali al-Sammad (R.A.) was a special human being. Known as Abou Fadhl, this was a man who saw beauty amidst emaciated bodies and crying mothers–for the strength of Yemen’s people was too beautiful to deny. A revolutionary who saw hope amidst ruinous chaos rarely seen in human history outside of the two Zionist-driven World Wars–for how can one not hope when a besieged and starving people refuse to abandon their right to resist and triumph over usurpers and aggressors? And a leader of leaders who was completely disconnected from the concepts of surrender and defeat. While Ansarullah’s moujahideen fought (and fight) with Husseini fervor to defend their homeland from the Yazids and Shimrs of the Saudi-led coalition of cowards, al-Sammad was the voice of Hassani reason keeping the very fabric of Yemen together: Quelling tribal disputes, bridging political divides, building alliances to strengthen the resistance against the US-‘Israeli’-orchestrated invasion and never stopping the fight to end the criminal war and bring peace to all of Yemen. It was due to all of these qualities that a joint US-‘Israeli’-Saudi assassination squad, utilizing the General Atomics MQ-9A Reaper–created by the Iraqi-Jewish terrorist and founder of drone warfare, Abraham Karem–murdered al-Sammad on this day 6 months ago. Matriarch and Mother of Mouqawamah Finally Joins Her Sons: Rest In Glory To Umm Imad, Hajjeh Amina Salameh (R.A.)

by Jonathan Azaziah

Hajjeh Amina Salameh (R.A.) Umm Imad Mughniyeh. The Matriarch of Mouqawamah. The Mother of Victories and Mother of Martyrs. From her womb, emerged an undefeated nation. Through her hands, the greatest moujahideen since the time of Rasoulallah (S.A.W.W.) were nurtured, raised and sculpted into the architects of triumph; the builders of buildings that rest on a foundation of eternal freedom. Through her words, a special soul, Hajj Redwan (R.A.), was inspired to be the champion Islam required and constructed the School of Fighting used by the Lebanese Islamic Resistance of Hizbullah to this day and hated by the enemies of humanity across the globe. It began with Hajjeh Amina. No woman in the whole of the Ummah apart from Sayyeda Zeenat Zakzaky has sacrificed more in the fight against Zio-Imperialism. Early yesterday, she was finally called home by ALLAH (SWT) to be with her sons and her grandson in a palace in the Akhira so awe-inspiring that very few in all of Islamic history, male or female, revolutionary or aesthetic, can claim a station as high. She was 80 years old.

The 1305th Martyrdom Anniversary Of Imam Zayn al-Abideen (A.S.): Time To Remember Him As A Pioneer of Resistance

by Jonathan Azaziah

We mourn today. But we also reflect and give thanks for the immortal gift we’ve been given in Ahlul Bayt (A.S.), specifically the 4th Imam, Ali Ibn Hussein (A.S.), aka Zayn al-Abideen, aka Imam Sajjad, who was martyred on this day 1,305 years ago. The Umayyad tyrant of the time, Al-Walid ibn Abdul Malik (L.A.), a man who hated the Household of Rasoulallah (S.A.W.W.) more than his father Abdul Malik ibn Marwan (L.A.) and maybe even more than Yazid (L.A.), couldn’t bear to live in a world with the Imam (A.S.) breathing the same air that he breathed, declaring, “I cannot rest as long as Ali ibn Hussein is in this world!” So he ordered Uthman ibn Hayyan al-Murri (L.A.), the ruthless Governor of Medina, to have the son of Sayyed al-Shouhada (A.S.) poisoned. But we prefer not to dwell on the tragical end of Imam Sajjad’s (A.S.) life, as he, like his father, knew that martyrdom was his fate and he embraced it with a clear heart.

So instead, we’d rather focus on Imam Zayn al-Abideen’s (A.S.) Mouqawamah, his words which were as akin to precious gemstones as those of Muhammad al-Moustafa (S.A.W.W.) and Imam Ali (A.S.) themselves, and his prayers, which were of such astonishing exquisiteness and brightness that the songs of Angels (A.S.) could be composed from them and stars could be eclipsed by them. Indeed, what Al-Sajjad (A.S.) taught us is that words… Matter. Words… Can topple tyranny. Words… Can remake the machinery of history in mid-production for the Moustakbireen and send it in a completely different direction on behalf of the Moustazafeen. The Humbleness Of Iran’s Defenders: Major General Sayyari Kisses The Hands Of Ahvaz Hero Moujtaba Muhammadi

by Jonathan Azaziah

This is why Iran is victorious; why we call the Islamic Republic our Magnetic North; and why Imam Khamenei is who we’d follow into the hell-flames if it meant justice for the Moustazafeen would be secured. Pictured here is Major General Habibollah Sayyari, the Coordinating Deputy of the Artesh (Iranian Armed Forces) who also holds the rank of Rear Admiral and formerly commanded both the Iranian Navy and the Iranian Marine Corps, going on live TV to kiss the hands of Moujtaba Muhammadi, the Artesh soldier who saved numerous lives during the US-‘Israeli’-Saudi-Emirati terrorist attack in Ahvaz that murdered and wounded dozens of innocents.

Muhammadi rushed many children and women to safety while also stopping the bleeding of several IRGC commandos who were shot by the ASMLA and ADPF mercenaries. A hero in every sense. That one of the highest ranking military men in the whole of the Iranian security establishment, not to mention a moujahid of the highest order who was instrumental in preventing the fall of the Islamic Revolution during the Imposed War, bows his head and engages in such a gesture towards a soldier of regular rank that diffidently viewed his dauntless actions as merely doing his job in a crisis, is a display of the synergy between the brass and the rank-and-file; the brotherhood that bonds them; and the commitment to Islam that all of Iran’s guardians have, regardless of titles or medals. Ashoura Haqq: Like ‘Israel’ Backs Saudi Arabia’s Genocide In Yemen Today, Zion Helped Yazid (L.A.) Murder Imam Hussein (A.S.)

by Jonathan Azaziah

Ashoura, the day when resistance triumphed over tyranny, Tawhid and Haqq prevailed over Shirk and Kufr, purity defeated filth and good overcame evil, is here. You will not find any indulgence of ritualism in this space. We don’t merely see Islam as a religion of Divine Revelation but a religion of revolution and justice that has pitted rebels against devils from the moment that ALLAH (SWT) created Muhammad al-Moustafa (S.A.W.W.) and Ali al-Karrar (A.S.) from the same light aeons on top of aeons ago. And none personified this conceptualization more than Imam Hussein (A.S.); NONE. On this 1,338th commemoration of the tragedy that befell Sayyed al-Shouhada (A.S.) and his Caravan on the sands of Karbala, we will be delving into a matter rarely discussed in Islamic circles, both Shi’a and Sunni: Who were Yazid’s (L.A.) foreign backers? Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s Muharram Tears Are Worth More Than Every Zio-NATO-GCC Fortune In The World

by Jonathan Azaziah

During the first ten days of Muharram, I’ve learned over the years that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s lectures aren’t really meant to be commented on. There’s too much knowledge, wisdom and Husseini luminosity to break down into an analysis that may only tackle a handful of gems when what he brings is akin to every rare mineral mine on earth combined. Watch for yourself. Listen. Listen again. Then listen once more. And learn. So no, this isn’t an overview. It’s just an observation. Seeing the Liberator of Lebanon overwhelmed with emotion and bursting into tears while talking about the events of Ashoura and the agony endured by Imam Hussein (A.S.) and his partisans… was moving on an indescribable level as we’ve never seen him quite like this before.

With Muharram Upon Us, We Recall Imam Hussein’s (A.S.) Thirst And We Fight For Gaza And Yemen

by Jonathan Azaziah

Muharram, the Islamic calendar’s pinnacle of heartbreak, is upon us. Its first ten days, culminating on Ashoura–when the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (S.A.W.W.) grandson Imam Hussein (A.S.) was butchered and beheaded by the bloodthirsty, psychopathic tyrant Yazid’s (L.A.) accursed mercenary Shimr (L.A.) on the sands of Karbala in 680 A.D.–are the most excruciating of all. There are many a story to be told about what took place on Iraq’s bloodied southern battlefields 1,338 years ago.

From the brave ones like Jawn Ibn Huway’s (A.S.) angelic cries of poetry amidst the fight along with Abis ibn Shabib al-Shakiri (A.S.) taking off his armor and confronting the traitors of Kufa head on… To the melancholy ones like Ali Asghar’s (A.S.) tiny body being pierced with an arrow as well as the unspeakable repression of Lady Zaynab (A.S.) in the aftermath of the slaughter. But in this current climate, one that stands out in a rather massive way is Imam Hussein (A.S.) dying thirsty. That Yazid (L.A.) allowed the Chief of the Youth of Paradise (A.S.)–who Muhammad al-Moustafa (S.A.W.W.) loved like his very own son and who said of him, “Whoever loves Hussein loves me, whoever is against Hussein is against me”–to be denied water, shows you how malevolent, despotic and rotten at the core he was. Sayyed Hussein al-Houthi (R.A.) Of Yemen: A Mouqawamist Godsend Who We Commemorate With Pride On His 14th Martyrdom Anniversary

by Jonathan Azaziah

Sayyed Hussein Badreddine al-Houthi (R.A.) wasn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill individual. He wasn’t even your typical revolutionary. Nor your classical militant. Not your quintessential Islamic liberationist challenging this or that colonizer either. He was from an essence of such uniqueness, such angelic substance that he can only be classified, qualified and described as a godsend. Indeed, a blessing straight from the realm of most merciful mercies designed by Al-Mountaqim (SWT) and a gift that caused all of the heavens to smile a smile of incandescence upon Yemen.
