On This 3rd Anniversary Of Maaloula’s Liberation, Never Forget Hizbullah’s Role In Freeing The Ancient Christian City

by Jonathan Azaziah

April 14th, 2014 is a day that should be celebrated by anyone and everyone in the world who considers himself or herself a follower and student of Jesus Christ (A.S.) Because it was on this day 3 years ago that the Syrian Arab Army, flanked by moujahideen from the Lebanese Islamic Resistance of Hizbullah on every side, liberated ancient Maaloula, the oldest continuously inhabited Christian town in the world and one of the only places left on the face of the planet where Christ’s (A.S.) native tongue of Aramaic is still spoken. It was Hizbullah in fact which spearheaded the operation under the direction of martyred Commanders and founding members of the Mouqawamah Sayyed Zulfiqar Hajj Moustafa Badreddine and Hajj Ali “Alaa Bosnia” Fayyad. The liberators of Lebanon sacrificed several fighters in the battle and after Al-Qaeda was humiliated and driven from this picturesque, archaic town in the strategic Qalamoun Mountains, they stayed behind and helped Maaloula’s residents rebuild their homes and churches. This is why those who travel through Maaloula today find Hizbullah’s yellow banner draped alongside crosses, portraits of Maryam (A.S.) and the Syrian Arab Republic’s flag. Muslim-Christian unity and Co-Resistance in its most gorgeous form.

Imagine if the Syrian Arab Army and Hizbullah didn’t intervene though. Just imagine it for a moment and shudder at the thought. Nearly 2,000 years of Christian history would have been wiped off the map by the Wahhabi-Takfiri fanatics. Churches and shrines and landmarks which bear the spiritual DNA of Isa al-Masih’s (A.S.) earliest partisans–infrastructures that are not only integral to Syria’s identity as a multi-communal civilization but that also belong to the world’s Christians and really, all of humanity–reduced to rubble because the Zionist Jews occupying Palestine want to establish “Greater ‘Israel'” on the carcass of the Syrian state. The usurpers of Al-Quds have no history of their own. They are godless vagabonds who know nothing but decadence and gluttony and from the moment that they established their Jewish “state” in the Nakba of 1947-1948, and, to be entirely accurate, a few thousand years before that too, they have been fabricating history to suit their agenda. They hate Syria (and its Christian community) MOST ESPECIALLY because Bilad al-Sham has preserved its connection to the man who Muslims and Christians both call Messiah (A.S.)

And since their New Middle East project was stopped dead in its demonic tracks by Hizbullah in 2006, thus preventing an American-‘Israeli’ invasion of Syria, the Zionist bacteria unleashed the “Arab Spring” and the Takfiri hordes who came along with it to pick up where they left off. But Hizbullah stopped that too. Maaloula stands today and its people will be celebrating Easter because of the bravery exhibited by Syria’s armed forces and their allies in the Lebanese Islamic Resistance–the true representatives of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W.) in this epoch. Indeed, protecting Christians is Islam. Upholding the message of Ruhollah (A.S.) [the Spirit of God; another name for Christ in the Holy Qur’an] is Islam. Fighting Zio-Imperialism is Islam. Persecuting Christians on the other hand is Judaism. Laying waste to churches is Judaism. Collaborating with Zio-Imperialism is Judaism. And shouting “ALLAHU AKBAR!” while you do it is Judaism in pseudo-Islamic garb aka Wahhabiism. Never confuse the two. Ever. And while it doesn’t have to be said because this is self-evident, I’m going to say it anyway: All hail the Syrian Arab Army! And all hail Hizbullah! May Maaloula in all of its Souri-Masihi-Aramaic glory prosper for 2,000 more years thanks to the sacrifices of these Heaven-sent warriors.
