Venezuela to send humanitarian aid to Gaza

JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — Venezuela will sent 10 tons of humanitarian aid and medical equipment for the war-torn Gaza Strip on Sunday, the Palestinian embassy in Caracas said in a statement.

A plane will carry the aid from Caracas to the Amman airport on Sunday, and the same plane will bring 100 Palestinian students who have been granted scholarships to study in Venezuela to the country, the statement said. Continue reading Venezuela to send humanitarian aid to Gaza

Hizbullah slams Rifi as a ‘burden on justice’

BEIRUT, The Daily Star: Hezbollah’s MP Nawwaf Musawi Sunday slammed Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi’s comments that called for raiding Hezbollah’s warehouses, accusing him of becoming a burden rather than a minister for justice.

DPRK launches upgraded Soviet-era ballistic missile submarine – report

Pyongyang is modernizing once obtained decommissioned Soviet diesel submarine capable of carrying ballistic missiles either for active service or as a test bench for constructing a similar sub of its own, South Korean government sources say.

The Syrian Arab Army’s offensive in southern Aleppo (at Al-‘Amariyya) is in full swing after bombarding Islamic Front (Jabhat Al-Islamiyya) positions near the Sheikh Sa’eed District. Earlier today, the SAA, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), captured the surrounding farms (Mazra’a Al-‘Amariyya) in northern Al-‘Amariyya, killing scores of Islamic Front fighters and destroying two vehicles loaded with doshkas. The SAA will attempt to capture Al-‘Amariyya in order to open a new supply route to troops entrenched in Aleppo. Iran prevents sabotage of heavy-water tanks at Arak plant – local press

Iran has successfully subverted a plot to sabotage tanks of heavy water to be used in nuclear reactors, a senior official of Iran’s nuclear department told local Arman daily. A “foreign country” is suspected of being behind the attempt.
