Syrian Arab Army retakes Homs gas fields from ISIS

Soldiers of the Syrian army have recaptured two major gas fields and a gas company in the central province of Homs.

The Syrian military forces backed by pro-government fighters “retook control of the Jhar and Mahr gas fields, as well as the Hayyan gas company in the east of Homs province,” said the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday.

Iranian Government Approves Bill to Set Up Armed Forces’ Marine Industries Organization

TEHRAN (FNA) – The Iranian government approved a bill to establish the Armed Forces Marine Industries Organization in a move to enhance the country’s deterrence and military power.

The ratification was approved during a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday.

The cabinet ratification is aimed at developing deterrence capabilities and providing the defensive needs of the Iranian Armed Forces to surface and subsurface vessels, Surface-Effect Ships (SES), speed boats, and dynamic power systems as well as manufacturing, supplying and optimizing equipment and weapons mainly through home-grown and indigenized technologies, and conducting operational tests and providing logistic services based on new standards. Palestinian Operation in Al-Quds Kills One Settler, Injures Others

A pickup truck rammed into a group of Zionists assembled at a rail road station in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday, killing one person and wounding a number of others, the Zionist Channel 2 reported.

The operation was carried out by a Palestinian from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat, it added.

ISIS Backpedalling at Al-Sha’ar Gas Fields; Syrian Arab Army on the Offensive

After 5 days of heavy firefights at the Al-Sha’ar Gas Fields, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) have countered the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s (ISIS) offensive in east Homs, recapturing lost territory and killing scores of militants during the fierce clashes. Earlier today, the SAA recaptured the Hayyan Gas Fields, securing the area and forcing the ISIS militants to retreat further north. DPRK launches upgraded Soviet-era ballistic missile submarine – report

Pyongyang is modernizing once obtained decommissioned Soviet diesel submarine capable of carrying ballistic missiles either for active service or as a test bench for constructing a similar sub of its own, South Korean government sources say.

Syrian Army at the Gates of Khan Sheikhoun; Offensive in Al-Amariyya in Full Swing

The Syrian Arab Army’s offensive in southern Aleppo (at Al-‘Amariyya) is in full swing after bombarding Islamic Front (Jabhat Al-Islamiyya) positions near the Sheikh Sa’eed District. Earlier today, the SAA, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), captured the surrounding farms (Mazra’a Al-‘Amariyya) in northern Al-‘Amariyya, killing scores of Islamic Front fighters and destroying two vehicles loaded with doshkas. The SAA will attempt to capture Al-‘Amariyya in order to open a new supply route to troops entrenched in Aleppo. Iran prevents sabotage of heavy-water tanks at Arak plant – local press

Iran has successfully subverted a plot to sabotage tanks of heavy water to be used in nuclear reactors, a senior official of Iran’s nuclear department told local Arman daily. A “foreign country” is suspected of being behind the attempt.
