Russia’s “Startling” Proposal To Europe: Dump The US, Join The Eurasian Economic Union

by “Tyler Durden”, Zero Hedge

Slowly but surely Europe is figuring out that as a result of the western economic and financial blockade of Russian, it is Europe itself that is suffering the most. And while Germany was first to acknowledge this late in 2014 when its economy swooned and is now on the verge of a recession, now others are catching on. Case in point: the former head of the European Commission, and Italy’s former Prime Minister, Romano Prodi who told Messaggero newspaper that the “weaker Russian economy is extremely unprofitable for Italy.” Continue reading Russia’s “Startling” Proposal To Europe: Dump The US, Join The Eurasian Economic Union

Khantemplation Entry 2: Fiery Spiritual Giant Malcolm X’s Guidance on Autonomous Economics

Khantemplation Entry 2

Most ‘activists’ still haven’t learned these lessons. You keep fighting for some type of unequal restitution for past and even current wrongs without looking at the root structure. Protesting for jobs, housing, rights, etc. is all a magnificently cathartic waste of time and energy. You have real valid anger but then you couch it in some silly mindless phrase you repeat over and over again, essentially begging the real or imagined oppressor to fix the problems. The Silent Front: Syria’s Economy

by Z. Dimitrov, Al-Masdar News

In three months, or March 2015, Syria will enter the fourth year of its bitter internal conflict. Most Syrian provinces have suffered from the ongoing insurgency, seeing battles between the Syrian Arab Army and increasingly fundamentalist insurgents which have left extensive destruction in their wake. But while government troops have managed to turn the tide against the insurgency and are now on the offensive on all but one fronts, the sight of another battle looms on the horizon – the battle for the economy. China pledges to help Russia overcome economic hardships

China’s foreign minister has pledged support to Russia as it faces an economic downturn due to sanctions and a drop in oil prices. Boosting trade in yuan is a solution proposed by Beijing’s commerce minister.

Russia has the capability and the wisdom to overcome the existing hardship in the economic situation,” Foreign Minister Wang Yi told journalists, China Daily reported Monday. “If the Russian side needs it, we will provide necessary assistance within our capacity.Continue reading China pledges to help Russia overcome economic hardships

What Putin is not telling us

by Pepe Escobar, Russia Today

Even facing what under any circumstances is a perfect storm; President Putin delivered an extremely measured performance at his annual press conference and Q&A marathon.

The perfect storm evolves in two fronts; an overt economic war – as in siege by sanctions – and a concerted, covert, shadow attack to the heart of the Russian economy. Washington’s endgame is clear: impoverish and defang the adversary and force him to meekly bow to the Empire of Chaos’s’ whims. And bragging about it all the way to “victory.” Continue reading What Putin is not telling us

China steps into U.S. currency war against Russia and offers Putin major support

by Kenneth Schortgen Jr., The Finance Examiner

Over the past month, attacks on both oil and the Rouble have created economic turmoil around the world, and especially in the economies of Russia and the European Union. And despite the fact that the United States has chosen Ukraine as ground zero for instigating pressure against Russia and the Russian currency, one superpower has sat on the sidelines until today when on Dec. 17, China stepped forward and offered full aid and assurances to Russia in their ongoing proxy war with Washington.

Until yesterday, Russia was believed to be isolated and under immense economic pressures from both the U.S. and Europe over what has been labeled ‘aggressions against Ukraine’. However, the underlying truth is that Ukraine has little or nothing to do with the war on the Rouble and on the Russian economy, and the U.S. is simply using the Eurasian country as a scapegoat for Putin’s chess moves against the petro-dollar and America’s hegemony over the global reserve currency.

Russia could fall back on its 150 billion yuan (HK$189.8 billion) currency swap agreement with China if the rouble continues to plunge. Continue reading China steps into U.S. currency war against Russia and offers Putin major support

US Senate Passes Bill to Impose Further Sanctions on Venezuela, Maduro Blasts “Economic Blockade”

by Z.C. Dutka, Venezuela Analysis

Yesterday the United States Senate passed the Venezuela Defense of Human Rights and Civil Society Act of 2014 by voice vote, a bill that will impose further sanctions on Venezuelan senior government officials if passed tomorrow by Congress.

The bill, sponsored by US senators Marco Rubio and Robert Menendez, targets Venezuelan authorities they accuse them of being linked to “significant acts of violence or serious human rights abuses against persons associated with the anti government protests in Venezuela that began on February 4, 2014.”

Though no updated draft has been released, the bill will reportedly deny visas to select Venezuelan authorities and freeze whatever assets and properties they possess in the United States. The Comeback of Allende Politics: Chile to Have Free Higher Education by 2016

(EDITOR’S NOTE: Since the ascendance of Comandante Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías — rest in power — to Venezuela’s presidency in 1999, Latin America has been on an anti-imperialist, anti-Zionist, anti-neoliberal upswing that the US-“Israeli” Empire has been unable, for the most part, to counteract. Chile, which has been ruled by stooges of the Jewish Imperium — from brutal juntas to sheepish technocrats — since the CIA-Mossad coup led by the devilish Henry Kissinger deposed Salvador Allende on September 11th, 1973, seems to be in the midst of joining this Latin American Resistance front as the militant politics of Allende are quite clearly making a comeback. Isabel Allende Bussi, Salvador’s more politically active and awakened daughter, was elected president of the Chilean Senate back in February 2014, the Chilean government cut trade talks with “Israel” and was fierce in its condemnation of the usurping Zionist entity during the 51-day onslaught against besieged Gaza, and, led by the 400,000-strong Palestinian-Chilean community, there is growing support for the Palestinian cause and increased awareness about the evils of Zionism. And once it is understood that education privatization is a Jewish-neoliberal project through and through, led by the likes of “chosenite” bigwigs like Eli Broad, Lynn Schusterman, Michael Steinhardt and son-of-a-terroist Rahm Emanuel, as well as Jewish banking house Goldman Sachs and loathsome NWO billionaires like Bill Gates, it cannot be stated enough that this step from Chile, taken after immense pressure from protesting students, is a huge blow to the Halakhic-Talmudic World Order, for as the legendary Malcolm X (R.A.) once said, Only a fool would let his enemy teach his children!” Respect to the Chilean government and people, may their awakening deepen until they’re as radical as Allende and Comandante Hugo Chávez themselves. ~ Jonathan Azaziah)

Cuba’s extraordinary global medical record shames the US blockade

by Seumas Milne, The Guardian

Four months into the internationally declared Ebola emergency that has devastated west Africa, Cuba leads the world in direct medical support to fight the epidemic. The US and Britain have sent thousands of troops and, along with other countries, promised aid – most of which has yet to materialise. But, as the World Health Organisation has insisted, what’s most urgently needed are health workers. The Caribbean island, with a population of just 11m and official per capita income of $6,000 (£3,824), answered that call before it was made. It was first on the Ebola frontline and has sent the largest contingent of doctors and nurses – 256 are already in the field, with another 200 volunteers on their way.

While western media interest has faded with the receding threat of global infection, hundreds of British health service workers have volunteered to join them. The first 30 arrived in Sierra Leone last week, while troops have been building clinics. But the Cuban doctors have been on the ground in force since October and are there for the long haul.
