Blak Madeen’s “Supreme Aftermath” Is A Modern-Day Hip-Hop Classic

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

There are those who constantly pontificate about Hip-Hop being dead and it is only a knockout away from being down for the count permanently. But such persons, apart from being ignorant imbeciles, don’t have their ears close enough to the ground to know that Hip-Hop is in fact alive and well with PLENTY left in the tank. The maddeningly ill Blak Madeen are proof of this conclusion and their newest record “Supreme Aftermath” drives the point home even further like a stake into the chest of a culture-vulture-vampire. Anybody who identifies as a Hip-Hop head needs to give this masterful piece of music a healthy spin, or two, or ten, or a hundred! The dynamically dope duo has got it all, madd bars, madd flows, consciousness, depth, attitude, a hell of an ear for beats, lots of scratches throughout the record for that true school/classic effect, some serious spiritual elevation and a wondrous chemistry that is rare among even the all-time great groups of Hip-Hop. Indeed, the tremendously talented twosome from Boston mesh on wax perfectly. Yusuf Abdul-Mateen Trombly, who I’ve had the pleasure and honor of building with at length over the past couple weeks, is the more lyrically gifted of the two, with rhyme schemes, insights and wisdom for days, and Al-J is the more sonically gifted of the two, with a crisp, fierce flow and a gritty voice reminiscent of Black Thought. Together, they make top-notch microphone chefs serving up some absolutely delicious Hip-Hop food for thought. Continue reading Blak Madeen’s “Supreme Aftermath” Is A Modern-Day Hip-Hop Classic

On Malcolm X’s (R.A.) Birthday, Y’all Need Rafiqi Green’s “X-Minded” In Your Life

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

For the Muslims of the world’s slums, ghettoes, projects, barrios, gutters, broken-down, working-class, low-income homes and dregs of all other sorts most especially, there is no greater inspiration than Malcolm X (R.A.), hands down. But surely, ANY Muslim from ANY walk of life and any NON-MUSLIM from ANY walk of life who is an acolyte of truth loves the man once known as Malcolm Little. Don’t matter if you’re African-American from Chicago, Iraqi Arab from Brooklyn, Afghan from Somerset, Irish from Boston, Italian from Philly, Liberian from Staten Island, Latino from LA, Lebanese Arab from Dearborn, Iranian from Houston, Palestinian Arab from Montreal, Pakistani from London, Ghanian from Acca, Syrian from Miami, Chechen from Moscow, and it goes on and on, we all draw hope and strength from this incredible human being who went from block-mainstay, hustler and inmate to the most influential revolutionary the Western world has ever known and one of the most important moujahideen ever in global history. And while El-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz is gone, taken from those who adored him by the FBI and the ADL way before his time–he’d be 91 today–the words, speeches, teachings and deeds he left behind have created a congregation of brothers and sisters walking his path and continuing his battle.

One such soldier, a massively gifted brother with a face full of Nour who is absolutely ridiculous on the mic-phone, is Rafiqi Green. Continue reading On Malcolm X’s (R.A.) Birthday, Y’all Need Rafiqi Green’s “X-Minded” In Your Life

Pick A Side: Yemen’s Men of God vs. Satan’s Saudi-‘Israeli’ Beasts

by Jonathan Azaziah

If Yemen’s struggles and triumphs could be summed up in a single piece of art then this is it. On one side of the divide, you have the demonic Dönmeh House of Saud, its GCC marionettes, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, traitorous Sudan, betrayer Eritrea, Mauritania and Turkey, backed by the American regime, the UK, France, Germany, Canada and of course, ‘Israel’, while on the opposite side you have the Yemeni Islamic Resistance of Ansarullah led by the indefatigable Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, who are defeating this coalition of ominous oppressors with nothing but their blood and their faith. And of course ALLAH (SWT) is on the side of the Houthis because ALLAH (SWT) is Al-Adl, The Just, and justice is always on the side of the oppressed as Malcolm X (R.A.) used to remind us of constantly. Happy Birthday Imam Hussein (A.S.)! Let’s Let “Hussein’s Song” Knock!

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

Happy birthday Imam Hussein (A.S.)! Before there was Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi and Sayyed Hashim al-Haidari, there was Imam Hussein (A.S.), savior of Islam, son of Imam Ali (A.S.) and Lady Fatima az-Zahra (A.S.), grandson of our noble Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W.), whom all our heroes are descendants of. The Lion of Karbala was the original champion of the oppressed; the original flag-bearer of justice; the original defender of the orphans; the original trampler of tyranny; the original defier of despotism; the original personification of resistance in the physical and the spiritual form; the Sayyed of Sayyeds, the Revolutionary of Revolutionaries and the Master of Martyrs. When the nascent Ummah quivered in fear before the hedonistic, repulsive, shaytanic, drunkard dictator Yazid, Imam Hussein (A.S.) took a stand for Islam and truth, giving his life for our Deen and the pursuit of what is right. Thus, his born-day is a precious, rare-jewel-like gift bestowed on Muslims and really, all human beings. And it is with this that I present to you “Hussein’s Song”, produced by my perpetually-gifted younger brother Jared Azaziah aka Dark Night, off my 2015 record Son Of Kufa Volume 1: Rise Of The Anomaly. I wrote this joint not as a mere musical representation of my own adherence to Shi’a Islamic Liberation Theology, or that of the forces of the Mouqawamah Axis for that matter, but as an anthem for humanity, because the sacrifice made by the Imam (A.S.) in Karbala on Ashoura carries a message of undeniable universalism, hence why Arbaeen (the ceremony that marks the end of the 40 days of mourning for the Imam’s martyrdom) is the biggest religious event on Earth and is attended not only by Shi’a, but Sunnis, Sufis, Ibadis, Christians, believers of other faiths and believers of no identified faith at all. Everyone loves Imam Hussein (A.S.), regardless of their ethno-communal background! The only ones who don’t are those who carry on the legacy of the Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W.W.) enemies and oppress the innocent, the weak and the downtrodden. So for the Imam (A.S.) on his birthday, and all his literal and ideological descendants fighting against World Zionism–the Yazid of our time–on the front lines in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, occupied Palestine, Iraq, Nigeria, Bahrain and beyond: LET IT KNOCK!

Long Live Syria II (Stay Silent O’ Cowards), Off 2015’s Son Of Kufa Vol. 1, Is Now Out

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

With the betrayers and haters of Syria continuing to vomit their hasbaranik lies a mile a minute, the time seriously couldn’t be more appropriate to let my joint “Long Live Syria II (Stay Silent O’ Cowards)”, off my 2015 album Son of Kufa Volume 1: Rise Of The Anomaly, rock as a single. No doubt the song is a bit of an epic, clocking in at 6 verses across 8 MADD COLD minutes and 59 seconds of pure freezer burn, but the meaning behind it–Long Live Syria in the face of an onslaught of ultra-Talmudic propaganda–is too powerful not to share. I actually wrote this joint during the Zionist-Turkish-Saudi chemical weapons false flag in Eastern Ghouta in August 2013 when everyone, and I mean EVERYONE in the “Palestine Solidarity” and “antiwar” movements were begging Zio-NATO for intervention on Syrian soil to implement “regime change”. I was astounded by their mental failure to peep the okey doke and see what ‘Israel’ was attempting to do as a means of changing the map of our whole region. It was like these “activists” didn’t learn a thing from Libya; like they didn’t learn a thing from Iraq; like they ain’t learn a damn thing from Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, etc. Their refusal to see the deception being perpetrated by the Jewish-Zionist media and the sheer hatefulness they expressed towards the Syrian Arab Army filled me with so, so, SO much fury. So much. And I took out all that rage on every bar I penned as I tore into the maggot hypocrites who claimed to care about Syria bit by bit. Upon completing the joint, there was enough frantic Mouqawamism and militantly volcanic vexation meshed together to fill up the Milky Way, wallahi. So for my Syrian brothers and sisters, for all the people of Bilad al-Sham, and for any brave, truthful soul who has defended Syrian President Dr. Bashar al-Assad, the people and the government of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Syrian Arab Army and Hizbullah online and offline from the get-go, LET IT KNOCK! “This is like that General Issam Zahreddine music, that Colonel Suheil Hassan music, you nah mean?! Long Live Syria, down with the rebels!”

Felicity Of The Oppressed Ain’t Just An Album, It’s A Lyrical Movie!

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

My ancient bruv from another muv Shan Cee FiftyOne aka He Who Signals The Truth asked me to write this so here goes. My fourth album, “Felicity Of The Oppressed”, is more than just an ode to Yemen in Beats-Rhymes-Life(form) or a mere collective of cohesive songs; it’s a lyrical movie… A Hip-Hop play in 3 acts that starts with a bang, tears your guts out, enrages you and then crescendos with a feeling of victoriousness that soothes and consoles. While every joint stands alone as an individual experience and I did indeed write it that way, F.O.T.O. is meant to be listened to in totality so you can grasp the fullness and connectedness of the concept: Yemen’s pain and suffering at the hands of Earth’s Most Evil, followed by Yemen’s struggle against these oppressors, followed by and concluding with Ansarullah’s triumph over the forces of Dajjal and the globalizing of their win which I am humbled to be part of. You don’t skip around when you’re watching a flick, do you? Because doing so, you lose critical plot points, right? Same idea applies here. Zionist Job, Off 2015’s Son Of Kufa Vol. 1, Is Now Out!

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

Any musician, writer, activist and especially MC running their mouths amuck about Saudi involvement in the 9/11 attacks, but keeping completely mum on the all-encompassing role of the mastermind ‘Israel’, ain’t nothing but a shill for International Zionism. Simple and plain. It’s 2016 b… If you don’t get it yet, that those towers came down in NYC from a controlled demolition because Mossad agents placed the bombs in the buildings, including WTC Building 7, and that the remote-controlled planes equipped with the flight termination systems of Rabbi Dov Zakheim–who also stole those trillions of dollars now reported as “missing” from the Pentagon and sent large chunks of his stolen prize to the usurping Jewish entity–were what hit the North Tower at 8:46 am and the South Tower at 9:03 am, then not only will you never get it, but you’re more than likely too much of a coward to say so because the idea of being falsely accused of “anti-Semitism” is too much for you to bear. This joint right here, “Zionist Job”, off my 2015 album Son of Kufa Volume 1: Rise Of The Anomaly, is my rebuke of such putrescent people and hands down the most comprehensive song about the ‘Israeli’-Jewish plot on 9/11 ever recorded. This is what Lowkey never had the guts to say. This is what the hypocrite Immortal Technique wouldn’t be caught dead spitting. These are the rhymes that filthy collaborators like Omar “I Love Takfiri Terrorism In Syria” Offendum and Khaled “I Love NATO Bombs in Libya” M avoid like the plague. This is Truth-Hop on a whole ‘nother level. In the eternal words of Eric B. and Rakim, and for the victims of 9/11 and all the martyrs of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and Libya who lost their lives under the pretext of this Judaic false flag…. PUMP UP THE VOLUME!

Globalized Yemen, F.O.T.O Single #4, Is Out!

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

Alhamdulillah. “Globalized Yemen”, the fourth and final single off my ‪#‎Yemen‬ album Felicity Of The Oppressed, is now available. Hard to describe how proud I am of this song and how much it means to me, as it was produced by my late homie Jamal Dubois (Metal Gear Solid), one of the last beats he made prior to passing almost nine years ago. Could never bring myself to write a full piece to it, scribbling only various things over the years, because it was too painful but after hearing it in the midst of the Saudi aggression against Yemen, the words just gushed out like a lava stream from a volcano. It’s a flat-out epic instrumental and it brought the lyrical best out of me. This joint exemplifies everything that Ansarullah and the Yemeni people are and just how important their struggle is in a worldwide context. The Houthis and their comrades are like the Algerians who fought French colonialism, the DPRK, the Palestinian Resistance, Hizbullah, the Vietnamese Resistance, the Iraqi Mouqawamah, the Iranian revolutionaries led by Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini (R.A.) and more. They all get shouted out here… Even got some 9/11 truth on the joint! Barely anybody is speaking about Yemen, its suffering and its victories, but that doesn’t matter… ‘Cause Haqq is Haqq and it is beyond critical for the triumphs of the Yemeni people to be globalized. So… Y’all know the deal. Throw it in your whips or your ‘phones and let it BLAST like a Striking Star missile!

Promise To The Blind (Moustafa’s Song), F.O.T.O. Single #3, Is Out!

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

I am ecstatic to share with y’all “Promise To The Blind (Moustafa’s Song)”, the third single off my ‪#‎Yemen‬ album Felicity Of The Oppressed. This joint is dedicated to the undaunted, unbroken blind Yemenis, specifically 6-year old Moustafa Abed al-Bari, of Al-Nour Center For The Care and Rehabilitation Of The Blind in Sanaa, which was bombed by the demonic House of Saud in the first week of January earlier this year. I couldn’t have done this without my incredible engineer and dear homie Payday Monsanto, who mixed and mastered the gem gorgeously, my brother-in-arms Naveed Khanverse, whose powerful and heartfelt second verse is among the best bars he’s ever penned, and most especially, the beautiful, brilliant and ever-Mouqawamistic Sarah Abdallah, who gave me every piece of information on Moustafa and the people of Al-Nour she could track down in the Arabic press–which was particularly difficult as not many places reported about this atrocity–that I would ultimately utilize for my own lyrical storm on the track. Madd love to all y’all, we did something really special here. So without anymore delay, and as I’ve grown accustomed to saying, LET IT KNOCK:

Can’t Uproot Us, F.O.T.O. Single #2, Is Out!

by Jonathan “Madd Cold” Azaziah

Second single off Felicity Of The Oppressed is out now! Can’t Uproot Us! This was the song all my executive producers picked as the joint that DEFINES the record. Description says it all. “Here’s one of Cold’s craziest flows as he unleashes a tsunami of illness in an ode to the ancient, religious and political history of ‪#‎Yemen‬. Al-Saud will never uproot Ansarullah! Ever!”
