Egypt, Israel Turning Gaza Into Super-Max Prison

TEHRAN (FNA) – A despicable conspiracy is being unfolded along the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip: Egypt’s military rulers are expelling the civilian population from the area to level the entire neighborhood and build a “buffer zone” with the besieged city, where roads, schools, hospitals, mosques and the electricity plant are still in ruins.

According to Egypt’s Al-Yom a-Sab’a, “The buffer zone will extend between 1.5 and 3 kilometers. The security forces will work to clear the area of underground tunnels leading to Gaza and it will also level any buildings and structures that could be used to conceal smuggling activity.” Continue reading Egypt, Israel Turning Gaza Into Super-Max Prison

by Leith Fadel, Al-Masdar News

The Syrian Arab Army’s offensive in southern Aleppo (at Al-‘Amariyya) is in full swing after bombarding Islamic Front (Jabhat Al-Islamiyya) positions near the Sheikh Sa’eed District. Earlier today, the SAA, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), captured the surrounding farms (Mazra’a Al-‘Amariyya) in northern Al-‘Amariyya, killing scores of Islamic Front fighters and destroying two vehicles loaded with doshkas. The SAA will attempt to capture Al-‘Amariyya in order to open a new supply route to troops entrenched in Aleppo. Egypt blows up houses for Sinai buffer zone

Egypt has started work on a controversial buffer zone by destroying homes along its border with the Gaza Strip, following some of the worst attacks on the army since President Mohamed Morsi was ousted last year.

Bulldozers began destroying several abandoned houses along the frontier on Wednesday, just days after armed men attacked an army post killing 31 soldiers in the area.

Egypt has declared a state of emergency in the Sinai Peninsula and indefinitely closed the Rafah crossing, the only non-Israeli passage for Gazans. Continue reading Egypt blows up houses for Sinai buffer zone

Iran calls for immediate lifting of all sanctions as part of nuclear deal

Iran wants all Western sanctions to be lifted as part of a deal on its contested nuclear program by a November deadline, a top official said Wednesday.

The announcement came amid intensifying efforts to conclude a definitive pact. The six powers in the talks with Iran – Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States plus Germany, known as the P5+1 – have set November 24 as the deadline, after failing to meet the previous July 20 target.

Building on a UN Security Council sanctions resolution passed in 2010, the United States and EU in 2012 imposed major sanctions against Iranian oil and gas companies and strengthened restrictions on the country’s central bank.

The chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the US proposal of a gradual lifting of sanctions was “unacceptable.” Continue reading Iran calls for immediate lifting of all sanctions as part of nuclear deal

Israel closes al-Aqsa to all visitors after the shooting of a right-wing rabbi

(EDITOR’S NOTE: Several months ago, Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah explicitly warned that the Jews would use ISIS’s continuing demolitions of mosques, Husseiniyas, churches and shrines in Iraq and Syria as an excuse — as well as a precedent — to carry out grave aggressions against Sanctified Al-Aqsa in occupied Al-Quds. Well, as usual, the Sayyed was right on the money. The closure of Islam’s third holiest site isn’t just a despicable Zionist crime against the indigenous Palestinian people… it’s an attack on all Muslims. And nothing is going to deter these Jewish supremacist fanatics from engaging in such actions again and again  and again, except armed resistance in the West-Bank-Al-Quds region. The Islamic Republic of Iran, recognizing this to be the sole logical way of disrupting the illegitimate Zionist’s designs on Palestine in general, says it has already started the process of providing the Palestinian Resistance in the aforementioned region with arms. Insha’ALLAH this accelerates and deepens so operations like the one that targeted the deranged terrorist Yehuda Glick become a regularity, as “Israel” understands no language but force. ~ Jonathan Azaziah) Continue reading Israel closes al-Aqsa to all visitors after the shooting of a right-wing rabbi
